There are several boycotts going on out there against the big “G”. Personally, I did not use too many of their products except for Gmail and their browser. I am not willing to give up my email mailboxes yet, but I definitely found a new browser that I liked. Yahoo Search is everything I remember it to be but better. I ran a search over the weekend for free wordpress themes, and I got a list of sites that I had never seen before! These were truly relevant sites to what I was searching for. I didn’t have to through three pages to find what I needed like some other browsers I have used in the past. The thing I loved the most was that the sponsored listings are on the bottom on the page not the top. You can see that you are getting relevant results at the top instead of having to go through all of the sponsored stuff first. (I take this back. Some of the results have it on top, but it is only 2 spots).
If you are looking to use a new browser, Yahoo Search is one to definitely try out!

Every so often you come across a Wordpress Plugin that really does make your life easier. The Comment Email Responder is that plugin. It is like office furniture for your blog. You are able to reply to comments on you blog. You also are able to send an email to the commentator at the same time. Yes, you heard right: no more copying and pasting anymore. Once you have installed the plugin, you click on the little envelope next to the comment. You then leave your comment/answer where you normally do and do everything else the same. It will put the comment on your blog and email your commentator your comment too. It is as awesome as it sounds.

NJ Sports Images is a New Jersey based company that employs freelance photojournalists to capture the moments of your children’s sporting events. Why should you use a company like this versus your own camera? First, to get professional looking photos, you need professional equipment. Most of us, me included, do not want to spend the money on that. Next, how good is your timing? The problem I personally have with most of my pictures is that my timing is off. Again, a professional photographer knows what they are doing and has this down to a tee. Lastly, do you want to miss the most exciting part of their games, because you are either messing with the camera or viewing the entire game that way? I know I would not want to miss the winning goal or home run. I want to be able to cheer and see the “whole” game not just my child who I am focussed on.
NJ Sports Images gives you the best of both worlds. They allow you to watch the game and also get superb photos. I am jealous that this is only available in the New Jersey area. This would be big in Chicago, and I would use it when Madison is old enough to be in sports.

My original blog My Thoughts, Ideas, and Ramblings seems to have gotten away from my original purpose, so I decided to start a second blog that is solely dedicated to reviews. I plan on reviewing a little bit of everything from blogs, to products, to services, etc. I hope that you find my thoughts helpful and thanks for joining me on this journey.
