Bed Bouquet Review and Giveaway!

Would you like to have your bedroom smell better than it does normally with no extra work? If so, Bed Bouquet is your answer. You put the Bed Bouquet unit above the top mattress and beneath the fitted sheets. It’s not anything you actually will notice once you are in bed (besides the wonderful smell). We also tend to end up with a 5 year old and a 2 year old in our bed, and they haven’t been bothered by it either. These will last 30 days, so instead of having to spray a scent daily, you only have to worry about it once a month. This comes in 4 fragrances: Citrus, Linen Fresh, Lavender & Vanilla, and Jasmine & White Rose. For us, we did not find the scent too strong, and it took about 5 minutes to put it where it goes.

The Marvelous Toy

I’ll be honest, I had never heard off Tom Paxton before I came across the book The Marvelous Toy. Now, that I have some experience with him, I want to get my hands on everything he’s done, because I am so impressed with this book. Not only do you get an awesome book, but it also comes with a 4 song CD recorded by Tom Paxton!

The wonderfully bright colors is what first draws you into the book (at least it did for me). Madison kept saying “mommy it’s so pretty” when she checked it out. I can’t describe how awesome the illustrations in the book are. You pretty much don’t need words on the pages to tell the story. However, the story is about a cool toy that moves and marches, bops and stops, zips and whirrs (I’m not going to give away what it is). I guess this is a classic song (I don’t remember it). The books is short and sweet and perfect for my kids attention span.

Since my kids and I love this book so much, I have arranged for one lucky winner to get a copy of this book too! Here’s what you need to do:

iKnow Animals, Letters & Sounds Beginning Reading System

With Madison learning to read, I knew that the iKnow Animals, Letters & Sounds Beginning Reading System was something she was going to love, and I was right. This 3 disk DVD is both interactive and just beautiful. I loved how the narrator talked in rhymes as we went along. They also reinforced the letters that the each animal they were talking about started with. This is something Madison is currently work on in school, so this was great reinforcement for her. Madison’s favorite animal on the DVDs right now is the naked mole rat (can you guess why?). I love that they get the kids learning without realizing it. The DVDs are really an adventure for them, but they learn animal conservation along the way too. Granted, this was more for Madison to work with, Will (my 2 year old) has also been enjoying these DVDs too. As we have learned with his speech therapy, never turn down an opportunity to help him with his talking. Since he loves animals, we’ve been able to reinforce some of the easier animals that he knows like fox and such. I just loved that they both sat down and enjoyed watching these.

Back To School Giveaway!

We’ve been in school for about three weeks already, but I know a lot of schools just started this week. It’s amazing, but Madison’s class has already had kids out sick! Bee MD’s Organic Honey Throat Drops

How many of you have summertime colds? My whole house has been sick over the last month (plus I have killer allergies).
