I am going to let you all in on a little secret that I am doing to do for Christmas this year. See the picture on the left? Those are stamps. I made them over at PictureItPostage and will be affixing them to all my Christmas cards this year. Tell me that isn’t the cutest thing you have ever seen? There are just so many uses for these stamps. You can do what I did and put them on Christmas cards. However, I can see them being used for baby announcements, engagements, holidays and graduations. You can’t make an invitation more customized and personal than this. Plus, you don’t see stamps like this too often. That makes it unique, and people will love it! You will be the talk of everyone you send these too!
How hard is it to make these? It is not hard at all. PictureItPostage allows you to either create these stamps on their site or you can download a program, and you can create them on your desktop. You can customize the background color and what color the text is on them too! It literally took me about 10 minute to completely put this together. Shipping took no time at all. I am 100% satisfied with this company and would highly recommend you use them also.
Also, they are having a “Get Real” Photo contest that starts October 31st. They want to see the best of the worst when it comes to photos. They want you to send them your worst pictures that you really don’t want to see the light of day. How do you enter? On October 31, head over to PictureItPostage and upload your photo. Beginning November 21, all visitors to the “Get Real” contest website will have a chance to vote for their favorite photos. The winners will be announced December 8. What can you win? They are giving away two Canon Digital SLR Camera and five PictureItPostage coupon codes good for 100 customized photo stamps. The ten first prize winners will each receive one PictureItPostage coupon code good for one pack of customized postage stamps. We all have horrible pictures — now have them work for you!
Make sure you check out PictureItPostage!

Are you like me? Are you allergic to life itself? You may laugh at this statement, but I have had allergy testing done. I was allergic to every single thing I was tested for. This is why I say I am allergic to life itself. My only chance at a normal life was to get allergy shots. However, they were not sure if that would actually get rid of all of my allergies. I was not about to get three years of shots of something that they were not sure was going to work. I pretty much ended up where I started. I take it day by day, and if it is really bad, I take Claritin.
Clorox Anywhere® Anti-Allergen Fabric Spray is a lifesaver for people like me. It is one of the easiest ways to reduce your common indoor allergens. The biggest indoor allergens are a cat dander, dog dander, and dust mites. They make up to 90% of the allergens in your home. They can easily build up in soft surfaces such as cushions, upholstered fabrics, curtains, carpets, bedding, and stuffed animals. Clorox Anywhere® Anti-Allergen Fabric Spray is super easy to use to get rid of this. All you have to do is spray the items that you suspect are harboring allergens. It chemically breaks apart the allergens, and does not leave behind a harmful residue.
I personally liked that it did not leave a scent either. I have a husband who is super sensitive to scents and perfumes, so this is extremely helpful in my house. it is also gentle and enough to use around kids and pets. This will retail for approximately $2.99 and can be located in the home care aisle of most stores. For me, $2.99 is well worth allergy relief. Even if you aren’t allergic, do you really want all that floating around your home?

Huru Humis will be one of the big gifts that everyone is going to want for Christmas this year. They are made for children ten and up. However, my 4 year old and 1 year old love them too. Each Huru Humi has its own name and distinct personality. Their interests range from sports to journalism. We have two of them, and I swear I have teenagers living in my house now. If I don’t check, Madison has been sneaking them into her bed with her at night too.
The reason I like these is that they interact with you. You are able to ask them questions, and they actually will respond to you. The other cool thing is that if you put two Huru Humis next to one another, they start talking to one another! They will have a whole conversation with or without you. These definitely teach your kids many social skills. It shows them how to have a conversation, not to interrupt, and have differing opinions. They are fairly easy to use, so kids of all ages will be able to use them. If you quite talking to them, they even try to get your attention. Another feature that my kids love is that their hair and outfits are interchangable too.
I have already seen commercials for these on, I think, Nick Jr or one of those kid stations, so you know this is going to be big. Each Huru Humi costs $29.99 and can be purchased at Walmart, Target, Kmart and Toys R Us. However, if you do not want to wait to get one of these, I was able to get not 1, not 2, but 3 of these to giveaway to my lucky readers. Now, two will be given away randomly. The third one will be randomly given away among the people who make a Huru Humi video.
Each one of these things will give you one entry:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I want to know why you want this.
2. Twitter about this contest. Please leave me your username so I can verify.
3. Stumble this post. If you don’t know what Stumble Upon is, please read Lori’s post at Blogging Cents. She explains it extremely well.
4. Add this post to other social media sites like Digg, Kirtsy, Blogging Zoom, Reddit, Propeller, Etc.
For 5 additional entries,
1. Blog about this on your blog. Please give me the URL, so I can verify.
2. Add this to any forums you belong too. Please give me the URL, so I can verify.
3. Subscribe to this blog using either my email or RSS feed
4. Add my badge to your sidebar:

For ten more entries,
1. Make a Huru Humi Cartoon here. Publish your video and add it to your social profile and link to it in a comment.
Good luck! This contest will end Oct. 22, 2008 at 8:00 PM CST and is for both US and Canadian residents.

If you have little ones in your house, check out Baby Rodenburg. This DVD teaches you child sign language, A-B-C’s, numbers, colors, and animals. The DVD was a huge hit here. Madison (my 4 year old) is learning sign language in preschool, so she loved the reinforcement. My son who is 15 months loved it due to the music and seeing other babies. I am not sure if he really “understood” any of the sign language. Mom like it, because I got to actually learn some sign language (like how to sign eat) that is actually quite useful at my house.
My only complaint about the DVD is that it seems a bit disorganized at times. I wish they correlated the signing to whichever letter they were on. Meaning, when they did the sign for eat, I think they should have been talking about the letter E. That being said, they really reinforced each sign and what it means using several different ways. As each thing was signed, Madison often repeated the sign several times and repeated the word that went with the sign. Will danced with the music and pointed to the screen and said “seeeeeee” every time an animal, baby, or toddler was on.
This DVD was created by a set of parents who couldn’t find any DVDs out there that fit their needs for their child. Instead of complaining, they made their own DVD to use with their own child and to share with the rest of us!

Best Buy is one of my most favorite stores. Usually. However, last night was an entirely different story (and this review is actually going to be more like rant instead). On Sundays, Best Buy closes at 7. I personally thought I had plenty of time. What I didn’t know was that out of the three people in the computer department, 2 of them were new. Interesting times, let me tell you. In the amount of time it took me to get waited on, I could have seriously taken a CDL training course. The other thing is that I went looking there for a desktop. This weeks ad had a ton of them in there. Surprise, Surprise. Of all the desktops that had in their ad, they had 1 in stock. Yes, 1 in stock. They had some not in their ad but the CPUs along were over $1,000. Ummm, no thanks. I ended up walking out of Best Buy at 8:00 pm — one hour after they closed due to their employees having no training!

My favorite store ever online (the one that I order everything from for my businesses) is now selling t-shirts! I wish they were doing that when I was selling lia sophia, because I would have been a huge customer for that.
However, enough about why I think this is cool. Let me tell you why you want to use VistaPrint. First, they are cheap. I order my business cards from them, because I only have to pay for shipping. If you want a custom picture on your cards, it is an extra $5. Another thing I love about Vista Print is that they have anything and everything you need for a business from t-shirts I mentioned before to business cards to stampers. They are always have sales. Once you get on their email lists, you will find that whatever you need to order is usually on some sort of sale. For example, if you use TShirts25 you can get 25% off any T-shirts that you order! I have also always been impressed with the quality of their products. I have yet to receive a product that I did not like!
I can only say lots of good things about Vistaprint. I would highly recommend them for all your personal and business needs.

Teddy Bear’s Fun to Learn First 1000 Words is book that is great for all little ones. My 4 year old enjoys it just as much as my 1 year old. Granted, you won’t find las vegas hotels in here. However, there is pretty much everything else. Each page in the book has a theme (like the beach). It lists the theme and a ton of items to go with it (for example, the beach pages show things like sunscreen, water wings, sailboat, beachball, etc). There is also a picture in the center of the page with all the miscellaneous items. There is also a short poem asking you questions about the theme. Will (my one year old) just likes to look at everything and go “ohhhh”. Madison (my 4 year old) enjoys looking at the pictures and telling us what each thing is. She likes to answer the questions for us too. My only complaint is that the pages are paper which are a little to easy for Will to rip.
This book is great because your little ones can use it as they grow older. I would definitely purchase it a birthday, baby shower, and/or Christmas gift. The little ones who you are getting for will get a lot of use out of it!
