Dog Shampoo

DOS_LAV_8oz_135Nothing smells worse than a wet dog (okay, maybe a dirty diaper, but a dirty dog or a wet dog is a close second).  That being said there is product on the market that will actually make you want to wash your dog more made by Dinovite called Dogosuds. !  Yes, I said wash your dog more!  I know that a lot of people wait between baths so their dogs skin doesn’t get so dry and flaky or when you do actually give him/her a bath, you can’t get all the shampoo out of its fur.  Well, there is an all natural product out there for your needs.

This dog shampoo actually makes you dog smell clean for longer than a day (I know that this is a huge complaint of dog owners), and it works to even get skunk odor out! You can actually get the shampoo out of their fur when you rinse them off too!  It contains therapeutic grade oils that are okay for sensitive skin and won’t dry their skin out.  Best of all, it is a natural flea deterrent!  This shampoo contains no chemicals, no perfumes, and no fillers either. It comes in four blends (Essential Oils, Lavender, Peppermint, and even unscented), so you should be able to find what you want.

WrinkleFree Eyes

wf-eyes_group_-low-resI turn 32 on Friday of this week and have now started worrying about my age.  Actually, I don’t care how old I am — I just care how old I look.  One of the easiest ways to keep looking young is to use products like WrinkleFree Eyes.  This product is so easy to use.  Once a week, you use the 20 minute micro-charged eye patches.  You wear the patch for 20 minutes and that’s it!  Once a day, you use the 24 Hour Face Lift Wrinkle Filler.  Then, every night, you use the Retinol 4X intensive cream.  If you get any side effects, you are looking at some possible tingling and redness.  That’s it! This is clinically proven to reduce your wrinkle appearance up to 85% in only 20 minutes!  This works through a process called “lontophoresis”.  This basically means that this activites on contact with your skin, and it drives the Retinal 4x deep into the skin.

Now, does it work?  For me, yes.  I don’t have a lot of wrinkles yet, but what few I do have, this worked like a charm on them.  I can definitely see  myself using this when I know I have something important coming up like a school reunion, family reunion, wedding, you know, anything like that when looking my best is important.  This is a product that you can get at stores like WalMart, Walgreens, and Target and priced at $29.99 which is quite affordable.  If you are looking to get rid of your wrinkles, you definitely need to try out WrinkleFree Eyes.

Johnson’s 50 Years Strong!

There aren’t many products out there that I my mother used on me, and I now use on my kids.  However, Johnson’s is one of those brands.  Can you believe that they have been around fifty years!!!!  Now, you know you have a good quality product if it can stand the test of time like that.

I personally love Johnson’s products.  I love their “no more tears” tagline, because well, its true.  I know when I use a Johnson’s product it is gentle on both my childrens’ skin and my skin too.  That is important since I tend to be allergic to everything and my skin doesn’t react to Johnson’s products.  I am always excited to see them come out with new products.

bubble-bath-and-wash1htt-foaming-wash1Two of their newest products are the Head to Toe Foaming Wash and Bubble Bath and Wash. They both clean well, and my kids love them. I love that I don’t have to worry about them irritating my childrens’ skin or eyes. It is soap-free, dye-free, hypoallergenic and allergy tested Dermatologist and pediatrician tested. What more can you ask of a product?

Congrats Johnson’s for 50 years of great products and hopefully you’ll have 50 more!  If you’d like more infomation, check out their You Tube Channel.  Also, thank you Mom Central and Johnson’s for providing samples of these great new products to try!

Countdown to Christmas: Giella Custom Blend Cosmetics

A great gift to give any women in your life is Giella custom blend cosmetics. There is no more guessing on what shade will work best for you (or her). They make cosmetic pencils for lips, eyes, and brows. They also have concealer. For your lips, they have custom blend pencils that range from sheer to cream to full bodied. You can even add soy butter and conditioners if you like. For your eyes, you can create the perfect eye liner. You can keep it matte or add some shimmer in gold, silver, copper, or bronze. For brows, you can create a color that matches your hair, softens your brows, and is smudge proof. Madison and I tried the nail polish they also have this afternoon. It dried pretty quick with a great shine. The lipstick and lip gloss also has a great look to it. I love that you can customize everything, so it looks best with your hair color and skin tone. We watched While You Were Out Today, and this is a great show to see how much a little of the right kind of makeup can make a difference!  I’m not sure if they used this kind of makeup.  However, they had a lady that had 80’s makeup and was using all the wrong colors.  When they updated her look and showed her the right colors for her skintone, the difference was amazing.

The best part is that this can all be made while you are waiting. It takes about 5 minutes to make. You can find this at Henri Bendel’s in New York City, selec t salons in Baltimore, Louisiana, and Philadelphia, and online at www.giella.com.  To do this for Christmas, here’s what you need to do:

Purchase an empty lipstick case, lip gloss wand, cheek tint or concealer compact or nail polish bottle, and we will fill it according to what your gift recipient wants.  They will send the empty component(s) (for lips, cheeks or nails) with instructions of how to pick the perfect color and texture online at www.giella.com. Then they will mail the personalized custom colors and keep the formulas on file for future reorders.  How easy is that shopping, and you (or the woman you are shopping for) gets exactly what they want!

Countdown To Christmas: The Anywhere, Anytime Chill Guide

How many times have people told you to chill out (and if they didn’t use those exact words, that’s what they meant)?  I know I get told that more than I’d like to admit.  I allow things to get under my skin and ferment for days and sometimes weeks.  In times like these, I even think I need to chill out.  However, my problem always has been that I didn’t know how until The Anywhere, Anytime Chill Guide came along into my life.  This is a great book for several reasons.  First, there are 77 strategies in here.  If one doesn’t work for you, try the next.  There is truly something that can you in here.  I also love that it is an easy read.  I don’t need detailed directions stressing me when I am trying to chill out, and the author actually made it a really fun read.  There are statements in the book like “Here are some simple ways to keep your cool that you can do in a crowd without looking like a weirdo”.  Anytime you use weirdo, you score some bonus points.  I love that the book reinforces trusting your body, yet allows you to make changes in what you do for certain situations that raise your blood pressure.  Some of the situations I have been using the techniques for are road rage (I live in Chicago.  How can you not have road rage here.)  There is also some suggestions for motion sickness that I plan on trying out on our way to Green Bay tomorrow.

This is a book I highly recommend to anyone you know that needs to “chill” out.  This book is even great for those who seem to have it all under control.  It is funny, informative, and an easy read.  There is a lot of great advice for different situations that you may encounter.  This book helps you to simply feel better.
