The Furreal Friends Lil’ Patter Pup is our second Furreal pet. My kids adore both of them (we also have a Teacup Pup). I won’t let my husband buy a dog, and this is seriously the next best thing. My kids love making the dogs make noises and bark at them. However this new little puppy has some cool new features that our other one does not. This pup loves to walk around and wag its tail. All you have to do is show him his bone and put it in front of him. He’ll try to get it by walking to it! Also, if you allow him to sniff his bone, he’ll also making eating noises. It is seriously the cutest thing ever. The ages is 4 and up, but Will, who will be 2 in a couple of weeks, has definitely figured out how to make him work. He is the one giggling the loudest when playing with his new puppy.
This is available at most major toy retailers for $24.99. I’d have to say it’s worth every cent.

The Puppetivity Pal is a great gift for babies and even toddlers. It is big enough to be used as a puppet, and also sits up on its own, so babies can enjoy it. There is just so many things on here to play with. The ears crinkle (which makes Will giggle every time). If you press the heart, the puppy barks. If your little one is teething, one paw on this puppy is a teether while the other paw is rattle. The tail squeaks. There is also a mirror on the foot, so your little one can look at themselves (and giggle). What I like best is that it has a link on the back that allows you to attach The Puppetivity Pal to any stroller, diaper bag, etc. This is one of the softest stuffed animals I have ever felt too. Will likes to just hug this like a little baby and carry it around. I love that I don’t have to worry if he falls with it, because it is sooo soft.
This is a great affordable gift for this Christmas season.

Up until recently, I had never heard of the Only Hearts Club. The Only Hearts Club are real dolls for real girls. There are eight culturally diverse dolls. They dress like real kids, are poseable, and are nine inches tall. Their names are: Taylor Angelique, Karina Grace, Olivia Hope, Briana Joy, Lily Rose, Anna Sophia, Kayla Rae and Hannah Faith. These girls form a club together called the Only Hearts Club and their motto is to “listen to your heart and do the right thing.” For our house, these fit perfectly into Madison’s dollhouse. There is another kind of doll out there that I cannot stand (I won’t name it), but these are a welcome alternative! I love the positive message they are sending out to little girls. They also have soft bodies which is great in my house (not that the kids are going to whack one another with them, but you never know).
They also have a line a books for your daughters to enjoy. We have the hardcover It’s Hard To Say Good-bye book. The book about one of the girls losing her dog. One of the other girls goes to find another puppy for her and falls in love with the puppy herself. I won’t tell you about the rest of the story, but it is about how the Only Hearts Club came about. It is a cute short story and just the right length to hold young girls attention spans. It also taught some morals without being obvious about it.
They even have Only Hearts Pets. They are 2 1/2 inches tall and really cute. They are really soft and each pet has its own name. It also comes with a backpack clip. The paws of each animal also have Velcro on them, so you are able to have them hold small objects like a pen or you can create a bracelet with secerql of them. There are all sorts of pets also: dogs, cats, monkeys, cows, pigs, frogs, and elephants.
All of these Only Hearts Club products are perfect for the little girls you have in your life. They can be found at Target or online at The Only Hearts Club. The Only Hearts Books retail at $3.99 each. The Only Hearts Club dolls retail at $15.99 each, and the Only Hearts Pets retail at $3.49 each. These prices make this a very affordable present this holiday season.

As many of you know, we remodeled our basement this last summer, so we had some extra room in the house. We now have a huge play area for the kids. However, even though the basement itself is warm, the floor is freezing cold. We have been looking for sandals and/or slippers for Will that he wouldn’t easily be able to take off. We found the perfect match with the Polliwalks shoes. These shoes are not only cute, but extremely functional too. For the winter time, we got him the puppy dog shoes. They are super warm for him. I love that the bottoms are nonstick. We have hardwood floors upstairs which also get very cold in the winter. I can never put him in socks, because he either doesn’t leave the socks on or he slips and falls wherever he tries to go. With these shoes, he can’t easily get them off (though I can easily get them on), and he isn’t falling all over. He also is a huge puppy fan right now, so he loves them just because they are puppies.
Now, for the summer (or when we can’t find his puppy shoes), we got him the Fish Shoes. I love them. These shoes include the back straps that ensure that they stay on your little ones feet. It also makes it super easy to adjust for a custom fit for your kids’ feet. They are super easy to get on and my son has yet to try and take them off. The fish lips change color when exposed to UV rays of the sun too! How cool is that? Right now, these are only in select Dillards stores and online at Zappos.com. They will be available at all of their retailers in Jan/Feb.
Overall, I am impressed with the Polliwalks shoes that we got. They are made out of high quality material, and try as he might, my son has not figured out how to wreck them yet. They are cute and can definitely take a beating. These are shoes that will easily be passed down from kid to kid and still look great! Now, since these are so great, I want to offer pair to one of my lucky readers!

The Puppy Who Lost His Bark is a great book for a young reader. It contains only 61 words which helps with word recognition for the young reader at your house. The book is about a puppy who seems to lose everything from her ball to her bag. The puppy even lost her bark, so her friends must help her find it. They look all over, but finds it in the park! This is a short book that any little one will like.
