I have already started reviewing products that I thought would make great presents for Christmas. However, from here on out, I am going to title them Countdown To Christmas. These will be must have ideas for Christmas presents. I am hoping to find things that your kids will love, things that you will love, and things that the person you never know what to get will love!

I love getting products to try out on my husband. Bethesda Sunscreen Soap is one of those products that I got to do the husband test on. My husband is very, very, very sensitive to fragrance. He is sensitive to the point he actually holds his breath through the perfume department at stores otherwise he can’t breathe. I can’t even have perfume in the house. He is also very sensitive to soaps and lotions with fragrences. That is why I had him try this out. It has a light scent. However, he could use it and still be able to breathe. He like it because even though it was scented it didn’t have a “girly” smell to it. I liked it, because it made him smell nice. I also like it, because there is sunscreen with an spf of 10 in it. In the summer, we all tend to remember to use sunscreen. However, we often forget in the fall and the winter that it is just as important to wear it then too. I like that you can give yourself a layer of protection doing something you do everyday anyway. It also is all-natural, non-oily, and hypo-allergenic. This is great for people like me who have sensitivities to soaps. It is nice to be able to use a product and not have to worry about breaking out in hives. This soap also promotes healthy skin — it has over 50 minerals and vitamins in it. You will find your skin more soft and less dry after using this.

Well, the first question you need to ask yourself is how fast do you type? Personally, I type pretty darn fast (over 70 wpm). However, what Dragon Naturally Speaking does for you is allows you to talk, and it types what you say. You do need to “say” the paragraph breaks and punctuation. However, you end up with typing 150 words per minute! Most people I know cannot type that fast! It makes it much easier to generate more content in less time too. I know when I am composing a post like this I am actually saying the words in my head anyway. However, my head works faster than my fingers. That is why I love this product. Do you do podcasts? You can use Dragon to convert your podcasts into a transcript that you can also post on your site! There are just so many uses that I can come up with for this. I know people who use this and absolutely loved it including the New York times (click here for the NY Times Review of DNS10). Some other uses include people with disabilities such as dyslexia and even people with carpal tunnel who can’t type anymore. Heck, I’ve heard that John McCain doesn’t use the computer due to his injuries suffered when he was a POW. This is would even be helpful for him!

My favorite store ever online (the one that I order everything from for my businesses) is now selling t-shirts! I wish they were doing that when I was selling lia sophia, because I would have been a huge customer for that.
However, enough about why I think this is cool. Let me tell you why you want to use VistaPrint. First, they are cheap. I order my business cards from them, because I only have to pay for shipping. If you want a custom picture on your cards, it is an extra $5. Another thing I love about Vista Print is that they have anything and everything you need for a business from t-shirts I mentioned before to business cards to stampers. They are always have sales. How many of you are parents and still have electrical outlet plugs on your electrical outlets? My house is personally covered with them. However, the bad thing about regular outlet plugs is their size! How many of you had your kids put them in their mouth??!!?? For keeping things out of your outlets, they work great. However, as a choking hazard, they are one of the worst things to have in your house! I have watched both my children put them in their mouths. Then you have to go and retrieve them from their mouths leading to a tramatic experience for all involved.
That being said there is an awesome product on the market that solves this problem. Safety Caps are bigger than the traditional outlet plug, so your children are not able to stick the whole thing in their mouth. If for some reason they are able to get the whole thing in there, there are two holes in there to aid in breathing. The dad who designed his had his own daughter choke on a regular outlet plug, so he knew he had to do something so it never happened again to another family.
The things I definitely like about this product are almost too numerous to count. First, my kids can’t choke on it. Second, the color is awesome. It actually blends in really well with our electrical covers, so you almost can’t even tell that I have my outlet covered. Its a small thing, but it does look prettier. Lastly, the price rocks! For $9.99 (plus $2.97 shipping and handling), you can outfit your whole house by using this coupon! My regular ones were more than that! I know that my children’s safety is definitely worth that.
If you have little ones or know someone who does, this is a product that is both safe and can save lives. This can make a great gift for a new mom or just making your own house safer.
Sometimes you come across a product that you know another mother had to have designed. The Bathtub Assistant is one of these products. Designed by a mother whose son hit the faucet in the tub when he slipped out of her hands (and ended up with a black eye), it allows you to support yourself without having to lean against the tub.
First, the thing I love the most about this product is that it keeps mommy dry. Nothing is more frustrating to me than having to change my clothes after giving my kids a bath because I leaned up against the side of the tub that happened to be all wet (and this ends up happening more times than not). Instead, you are leaning against a cushion that is actually quite comfortable. Second, I was able to put this together all by myself with a little help from the directions. I personally hate products that require me to be brain surgeon to figure out. These aren’t those type of directions. Third, it is adustable for short people like me! I was able to use it and so was my husband (who is a foot taller than me!) Lastly, The Bathtub Assistant fold up, so when not in use, it doesn’t take up much space at all. Also, it makes it super easy to travel with too!
If you are looking for a prodcut to make your life easier if you have little ones, then this is it. It also would make a great baby shower gift or baby gift for the new moms in your life!
I am always in the market for trying new products. I also find that now I have kids that we have also been trying to buy more products that are environmentally friendly. I don’t want to leave a world for my children and my grandchildren to have to clean up. Green Works Dish Soap is definitely fits what I am looking for. I can honestly say that this dish soap does its job. We’ve tried buying several brands of dish soap before, and a lot of them just do not get the dishes clean. However, this dish soap definitely does! It passes the stuck on kid foods (which means lots of dried on ketchup among other things). I am also very sensitive to most detergents and dish soaps (I break out in hives after using them). However, I had absolutely no problems with this. It also smells nice.
