I am a diehard Pampers fan. My kids are pee machines, and no other diaper held up better than Pampers. My favorite Pampers diapers have to be the Pampers Swaddlers. Now, I am super excited to announce that Pampers has a new Swaddlers on the market. They are called Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive. These diapers are both hypoallergenic and very gentle for your babies skin. These are definitely for the little ones with super sensitive skin or were born with diaper rash (yes, I know children who it looked like were born with diaper rash). These are super soft diapers; it would be surprised if you could find another diaper out there soft like this. The absorb away liner is awesome. It truly does keep the wetness away from the baby’s little butt. The sides of this diaper are also ultra breathable and soft and stretchy. You can actually take the sides of the diaper and blow through them and still feel your breath. Why is this important? My kids would get pricky heat rashes where the sides are with other diapers — never with pampers. I have to think the breathablility helped prevented this. Though, I have to say that I think the most awesome part of these new diapers is the what I like to call “The Pee Indicator”. Nothing is more frustrating than when you can’t tell if they went in the diaper or not. It will look like it, but not feel like, and then you end up doing a poll of the room to see if you should change your little one. Pampers Wetness Indicator (that’s what they like to call it) is a strip on the outside of the diaper that changes from yellow to blue when your baby is wet. No more guessing!
Now, Pampers was kind enough to send me a pack of the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive diapers to giveaway to one of my lucky readers! This pack has 34 diapers in it and are a Size 2 (which is 12-18 lbs). What do you have to do win this?

We had a very interesting episode at my house this morning. Will had a little diaper accident that ended up all over my living room floor (and let’s say it wasn’t pee!). Not only did it smell, it was stuck to the floor (I know, I know TMI, but I could have taken pictures!)
What does a mother do when incidents like this (and yes all mothers have at least one of these with each of their kids)? Well, first you clean up the kid involved. I also lucked out that it was Will’s nap time, so I was able to put him down and not have him getting in the way of cleanup.
Once Will was down for a nap, that’s when the real cleaning starts. I have always loved pinesol. It does say on the back not to use on wood. However, I have always used it on my hardwood floors, because it is one of the best cleaners out there on the market and have yet to have a problem. I have yet to find anything that matches its cleaning ability either. However, I have always had one major complaint: the smell. I personally could not stand the lemony smell (Courtney just corrected me — it’s not lemony — it’s pine
). However, PineSol has come to rescue. They now have flavors (or is it called scents?)! The one I used on our little accident this morning was the “Sparkling Wave”. I love it! Not only did the PineSol clean up the mess, it left my living room smelling awesome. There was no overwhelming lemon — just a calming sea smell (which after the morning I’ve had, I definitely need).
I would definitely go try this out if you haven’t yet, and tell me what you think.

I Love to Laugh: A Book of Fun and Giggles is a great book for both toddlers and babies. The favorite part of this book for my kids is the button that giggles when you press it. Each page is about what makes kids laugh and happy. It isn’t anything exciting for us parents (like finding Barnes and Noble coupons). Instead, there are things like playing peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake. If you don’t remember these childhood poems, they also list them besides the story. The pages are cardboard, so little ones can’t damage the book. This book is worth it just for the giggles!

Ever have a diaper that you know just works for your kids? I do. They are called Pampers Swaddlers. We started using these when Madison was little. Madison was my beanpole child (still is). It was hard to find diapers that I could get tight around her waist yet not be cutting off her circulation. It seemed to an uphill battle. If the the top of the diaper was not tight, she had a constant leaking problem. That was until we discovered the Pamper Swaddlers. These diapers have flexible sides so you are able to pull the diaper as tight as needed yet still give your children the flexibility to be able to move such as children do (might I add that I have monkey children who roll to get across rooms, climb up everything, etc).
Now Madison is 3, and we don’t need diapers for her anymore. However, Will was born in June, and I knew what diapers we were going to go back to using. I let Bill talk me into buying other brands and even the store brand! Guess what?!?! They leaked. Now, Will isn’t the beanpole that Madison was. Yet, we still have leaking issues. However, once we got the Pampers Swaddlers again this hasn’t been an issue at all. I like that the diapers grow in size with your children. You are able to purchase them in the regular sizes such as 1, 2, 3 and so on. However, they even make the in between sizes where your child isn’t quite ready for the next size even though according to their weight they are. You are able to also purchase the sizes 1-2 and 2-3. I know this, because I have done it myself.
I took pictures of this handsome gentleman last night in his Pamper Swaddlers:

I am not sure if you can tell, but the top of Swaddlers have Elmo on them. The diapers have all of the Sesame Street characters on them. They definitely are children friendly.
In my opinion, buying these diapers is a no brainer. They have worked wonderfully with both of my kids to stop leaks. They do their job even when your kids are peeing machines and little monkeys (why do both my kid fit that description a little too well?). I know there are a ton of products out there, but the Pamper Swaddlers are definitely worth every cent.

Both my kids loved their baby swings. The one we had with Madison has a crank on it which stinks to use. When we went to buy one for Will, we had a few ideas of what we wanted. Most of all, it could not be crank. The swing we ended up buying was the Fisher-Price Open-Top Cradle Swing.
I love this swing and so does Will. It rocks two different directions. The seat itself has several recline positions too. The swing will swing at 6 different speeds. On the very top, there is a mobile. You also can play music and there is two different music choices. The colors on the swing are very neutral, so they blend in quite nicely with your living room.
We have been using this swing since Will was born. He likes to nap in it. I love it, because it allows me to get things done around the house. Pricewise, it was middle of the road. It wasn’t the cheapest swing, but it wasn’t the most expensive either. If you are in the market for a swing, I highly recommend this one.
