Back in April, I wrote a review on the That Baby CD and DVD. They both are still a huge hit in my house. The part I love most about the songs that are on there is that they aren’t kid songs. You won’t find yourself climbing the walls with some sing songy tunes. These are covers written by some of the best artists of our time: Fleetwood Mac, Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Natalie Merchant, The Beatles, and The Pretenders. You will find yourself singing along with a lot of these songs. This CD is played every time Will goes to bed (naptime or nighttime). That is how great I think this is!
Now, they are sure you are going to love this DVD and CD. If you don’t, they have a money back guarantee. They also offer free replacement of scratched or damaged discs too. (This is worth its weight in gold!). For those of us who want to be enviromentally friendly, they are made in the US with recyclable materials. If you do purchase them, free shipping and handling in the US (you all know how much I adore free shipping!) Also, if you need it quickly for a baby shower or birthday that you forgot about, call them. They will figure something out to get it to you in time! How awesome is that customer service?
Now, I have kept in touch with the awesome company who makes these unique baby gifts, and the owner agreed to give away a copy of the That Baby DVD and CD away to one of my lucky readers!!! This contest will be open to all my readers. To quote the owner: “Kids around the world need to rock, so we’re open to all of them!” I am going to run it until the end of the month (July 31st) till 8 PM CST. So what do you need to do to enter?
Each one of these give you one entry:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I want to know which song you think you’ll like the best. You are able to actually listen snippets of each song right on That Baby DVD’s site (I’ve linked the page, so you can easily find it), so that should help you make your decision. One comment only please and let me know everything you did for your entries in that comment. If you do not leave which song in your comment, your entry will not count.
2. Stumble this post. If you don’t know what Stumble Upon is, please read Lori’s post at Blogging Cents. She explains it extremely well.
3. Vote for this post on other social media sites. One extra entry for each social media site you vote for this on.
3. Subscribe to this blog using either my email or RSS feed.
For 5 additional entries, blog about this on your blog or add it to any forums you belong too. Please give me the URL, so I can verify.
Good luck to all!

Devil’s Advocate is one my favorite all time movies. This movie is about the choices we make and how they can effect every aspect of our lives. It is amazing how something as simple as buying cabinet knobs can change the outcome of someone’s life, but it is true. Devil’s Advocate has an all star cast with Al Pacino, Keanu Reeves, and Charlize Theron. The story is about Keanu Reeves and the choices he has to make in his life. We are able to see that every choice has a consequence — some consequence worse than others. It is a great “what if” story. Without giving too much away, Al Pacino play Satan aka lawyer John Milton. I love the hat tip to the English poet who authored Paradise Lost (the poem detailed Satan’s fall from heaven as well as Adam & Eve’s fall from the Garden of Eden). This is rated R and definitely should not be watched with little ones around. However, once you get them to bed, enjoy!

The Adventures Of Elmo in Grouchland is one of cutest kids movies I have seen a while. Elmo won’t share his blanket with Zoe (his friend) and ends up losing it in Oscar’s can. He journeys to Grouchland to get back his blanket and along the way he learns a lot about taking others feelings into consideration. Huxley (the villain) has his blanket, along with a lot of other things that don’t belong to him and Elmo tries to get his blanket back. It definitely teaches the kids about sharing without them even realizing it. It is a little over an hour, so it perfect for little ones attention spans. There are even a few jokes thrown in there for the adults! However, this is truly a kids movie. You don’t have to worry about diet pills or adult language here. It is a Sesame Street classic with all the gang.

This post is nowhere as bad as it sounds. There is a cool clothing company out there called Squad81 that has some pretty cool clothes to pick from. When you go and check out their site, you will find a bunch of cheerleaders which I guess could be considered their mascots. You’ll know when you’ve been hit by this hot cheery bunch if you see anything like this occurring:
The cheerleaders are a funny gimmick for them, but seriously that have some pretty great clothes to pick from. They even come in Bill’s size! Now, if you can’t get enough of these cheerleaders, make sure you enter their contest. You can win a bedroom full of cheerleaders and a brand new wardrobe! What are you waiting for?

Idiocracy is one of those movies that you don’t intend on watching but you get sucked into it (trust me, I’ve seen it 3 times now and none where on purpose). The basic premise of this movie is that Luke Wilson becomes part of a government experiment and wakes up to find himself 500 years in the future. What he finds is truly sad. He instantly goes from average Joe to the smartest man in the world! The people in the future no longer think for themselves and buy into pretty much anything you tell them. You could easily tell them land for sale Branson, and they would be wanting to buy that, Hollywood, and the Golden Gate Bridge from you! It was a sad state. The movie is actually quite humorous, and it is scary that, at times, you can actually see some of this happening in our society now. People buy into commercialism and don’t bother doing research on a product. They just take the company’s word for it (Watch the scene in the movie about actually using water to get crops to grow). Heck, last election cycle worked like that too, didn’t it? Overall, this isn’t a movie that would make it to my top ten movies. However, it is a great Sunday afternoon flick to watch that doesn’t require a lot of thinking, and you definitely get some good laughs.

I still have not decided how I feel about Bridge to Terabithia. Since the movie was rated PG, we made the assumption that Madison could watch it. Instead, I couldn’t have been happier that she fell asleep. There is a twist at the end that I was even tearing up over. (I don’t want to give too much away.) The story and plot are good. The story is about two misfits who become friends and create a world called Terabithia to play in. The kids are at the age that playing with the opposite sex was just that. It was about make believe and having fun. You didn’t expect anybody handing out diamond rings to one another. Instead, they took common items and turned them into gems for their fortress. For example, they used keys as a bell. However, I personally expected to see much more of Terabithia. Maybe we are too use to seeing the wonderful worlds like those in The Lord Of The Rings, but they really did not go enough into that part of the story. I do know that this is a book, and I think I would have liked the book much better. This is one of the those movies you watch once and never again. Also, due to the twist in the story, I would not recommend it for young children (my daughter is 4).

Mickey Saves Santa is one of Madison’s favorite movies. If your kids are Mickey mouse Clubhouse fans, they will definitely love this movie. This is also a great holiday movie. Santa’s sleigh breaks down at the the top of the mountain and Mickey and friends have to go and find him. He’s not wearing horse riding apparel or reindeer riding apparel. He’s wearing his Santa apparel when they look for him. They even have Mrs. Claus help! The other great thing about this movie is that there are 2 bones features on here. The first one is the “Hot Dog” Dance along (anybody who watches Mickey mouse Clubhouse will know what this is) and there are games on here too.
This is a great gift for kids especially if they are Mickey mouse fans.
