This is a show moms will enjoy as much as their kids. Lazytown is was created and is filmed in Iceland. The creator is Magnus Scheving. He is both a professional athlete and aerobic champion there (and he’s really good looking when not in his Sportacus costume). The show is about the struggle of being lazy and being healthy. Some of the characters you meet on this show include Stephanie (she’s the pink haired girl), Sportacus (the good looking health conscious superhero), and Robbie Rotten (the villian who likes to be lazy and eat unhealthy. These are all human characters. The other characters are a mix of live action puppets and computer generated animation. The main goal of this show is to promote healthy eating and lots of activity. For example, instead of looking for cruise deals, Sportacus would be off swimming. There are many learning goals that this show achieves (taken from the Noggin website):

The Incredible Truth about Motherhood is an awesome book to give to all new mothers. My sister bought me this book when I was pregnant with Madison. This book is all being a mom and how great it is. However, it doesn’t tell you that you are going to need acne treatments after giving birth! Of course, that could just be me. It tells a story of how life is once you become a mother, but how you would never give it up for anything. This book is a great book for moms of all ages. I would even consider giving it as a mother’s day present.

I know it is past Christmas, but I just came across Jingle Babies in my bookshelf. I love this book! This book is a hit with toddlers, babies, and moms. I love all the little ones in there. They are so cute. These babies definitely do not need the best diet pills out there. They just have the baby fat in all the right places. On each page of this book there is a baby dressed up for the Christmas season. The first page has a snowman, then an elf, and then an angel. There are also words on each page. The pages are cardboard, so they are not easily torn and can be chewed on. The book takes less than five minutes to read, so it is great for kids that don’t have much of an attention span. It is beyond super cute. This would make a better gift around Christmas time but is great to look at year round.

All you nursing moms out there need to buy these. They are awesome!
I love them for several reasons. First, they were the cheapest ones at Babies R Us. Next, they come packaged two together. For me, I think that is genius. I have never only changed one nursing pad. These do not have an adhesive backing. I personally like that, because with other nursing pads, it never stayed stuck to my bra. It ended up falling out or sticking to my skin, and that is not a good place to be sticking to! They are also a tad thicker than the ones I have used in the past. However, my most favorite part is the lanolin being on there already. Lanolin is a great soothing medication for those of us nursing and/or pumping who are in pain from it. The fact that it is already on there means one less thing I have to do, and one less time I have to wash my hands. I do not have to worry about forgetting to put it on also.
The First Years: Lanolin Treated Disposable Nursing Pads is a must buy for all nursing mommies.
