Did you know that Baby Einstien has been around for 10 years? I can’t believe it either. Granted, my oldest child is only going to be five, so I’ve only been able to enjoy them for half the time they have been around. That being said I love baby Einstein and all of their products. We own a ton of Baby Einstein DVDs and books. I can totally see how they are the #1 selling infant DVD line. The best part of their DVDs is that they are timeless. Madison will still watch the DVDs with her little brother Will (who is now 18 months old). Their DVDs are some of the best ones out there in my opinion. Not only do they entertain your children, they also learn from them. You can easily interact with your children and talk about what’s on the screen. It is almost amazing how memorized little kids get while watching these DVDs. I also love that their music collection. We have used their Lullaby Classics CD with both of my children. Baby Enstein’s book collection is also great. Their books are very interactive. They include your children as part of the story and require your children to interact with the book. For example, in Touch and Feel Farm animals, they are able to feel a sheep’s wool, a cow’s nose, and a horses mane. Will is very much into textures right now, so this is one of his favorite books. Madison still reads their See and Spy shapes book! Each page asks you to look for a count certain items, and no matter how many times we do it, she still loves it!
Having been a huge fan of Baby Einstein for 5 years, I can only tell you that I highly recommend all of their products. We have yet to have a product of theirs that we didn’t like. Their products make great presents for you kids, a baby shower, or just for the fun of it.

Have you ever went to the Build A Bear Workshop? If so, you will know that it is one of the coolest places around if you have kids. It is seriously like watching magic happen as you watch your bear being made. It is awesome that you can personalize it and everything. However, when we moved from Aurora back to Chicago, I didn’t realize that we were going to be leaving our beloved Build A Bear Workshop. I have no idea where one is now. That being said, there are a couple of ways for me to get my Build A Bear fix.
First, there is a celebrity auction going on right now! They will be auctioning off celebrity-built Build-A-Bear Workshop bears along with autographed copies of the Build-A-Bear Wii game. These bears and signed games will be on eBay’s Giving Works to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California. The bears were built by celebrities like Tori Spelling & Dean McDermott, the Jonas Brothers, James Gandolfini, Melissa Joan Hart, Bonnie Hunt, Mitchel Musso, Meaghan Jette Martin and more. This would definitely be a talking point for your house!
If that isn’t enough, Wii has come to the rescue for those of use who don’t like by a Build A Bear workshop! They now have a game called Build-A-Bear Workshop® A Friend Fur All Seasons. Up to four players can play and you can name, feed, and dress your bear. You can even go on adventures with them! This game is rated E for Everyone, so you can enjoy it no matter what age you are! I had my sister in laws this out and they all agreed that they liked it. They liked that if they were wearing a form fitting shirt that this would work perfect. Also, because it is clear, you can’t even see if someone has this on. I love that this comes in several different sizes including junior (which is really cute) and plus size! This is definitely a must have for all women.
Even though we are heading into winter in the United States, you really need to think about sunscreen. My husband would not listen to me yesterday when I told him to put on sunscreen before the Chicago Bears football game, and guess what? He came home with a sunburn. Once there is snow on the ground, it is even easier to get a sunburn even in the middle of winter. You always need to wear sunscreen no matter what the season is.
Now, my husband has a lotion issue. He cannot stand touch lotion, having it on his skin, or applying it to our children. No, he is not trying to get out of sunlotioning our children — it just really grosses him out. That is why when I came across Kinesys I knew we had to try it. What I found is that this is a winner in our house. The microspray formula is super easy to apply. You just spray it on your arm (or whatever body part you are applying it to), and that’s it!
