Even though we are heading into winter in the United States, you really need to think about sunscreen. My husband would not listen to me yesterday when I told him to put on sunscreen before the Chicago Bears football game, and guess what? He came home with a sunburn. Once there is snow on the ground, it is even easier to get a sunburn even in the middle of winter. You always need to wear sunscreen no matter what the season is.
Now, my husband has a lotion issue. He cannot stand touch lotion, having it on his skin, or applying it to our children. No, he is not trying to get out of sunlotioning our children — it just really grosses him out. That is why when I came across Kinesys I knew we had to try it. What I found is that this is a winner in our house. The microspray formula is super easy to apply. You just spray it on your arm (or whatever body part you are applying it to), and that’s it! You don’t have to rub it in at all. However, it was easier for us to apply to our kids faces (since my kids are little) by spraying it on our hands first and then applying it. It is super awesome for applying to their scalps, because it didn’t make their hair greasy (and I personally think that is the worst sunburn ever, because until that sunburn goes away, it hurt to even comb your hair). It is free of four important things - oil, alcohol, preservatives, and PABA. This won’t irritate your skin — even if you have sensitive skin. It also is water and sweat resistant which is great for kids too! It is also non-comedogenic (meaning it won’t clog your pores, so you don’t have to worry about acne breakouts). It also gives you broad spectrum protection against both UVA and UVB rays.
I found that my kids could handle the few seconds it took to apply this. There was no fighting, because it was so easy to apply. It was on before they ever even knew it, and it recently won the Parent Tested, Parent Approved Award. It was also chosen as the #1 spray sunscreen for high efficacy and low hazard ingredients by the watchdog group Environmental Working Group. The bottles also come in awesome bright colors that make it much easier to find in your house and the kids love. Make sure you check out Kinesys for your sunscreen needs!

If you read my other blog, you will know of the hosting issues I have had in the past. I had been using Bluehost as my hosting sevice, but due to several issues I had with them I had to change hosting companies. My first issue had to do with CPU errors. My favorite part of this was that they didn’t even know what their own reports meant! Their solution to everything was that I needed to upgrade my plan to one that costed 3 times as much a month. When I asked if that would solve my problem, the response I got was that they didn’t know. Hmm, so I should upgrade my plan, and you don’t know if that will solve my problems. I think not. I was also getting a ton of mySQL errors too. These errors often were causing my CPU issues. The only solution I got from Bluehost to resolve my issues was to delete my old blog posts and put them on a static page. I waited 2 weeks for that answer! Obviously, I would not recommend Bluehost to anyone.
Now, if you ever find yourself having the problems I was with your host, check out this webhosting blog. There is some definite wisdom to be gleaned from here like webhosting mistakes to avoid and what type of hosting you need.

Often when we are in the doctor’s office, we see Highlights. For many of your who are in my age range, we all pretty much remember Highlights. It is one of the few magazines that is for children and is educational. My only issue with Highlights is that it is for old kids, and I have younger ones. When I found out that Highlights now makes High Five, I was estatic. High Five is for preschool age children, and it is a huge hit in my house. When Madison’s magazine comes, she literally will spend an hour flipping through it herself on the chair. That is even before we sit down together to do some of the activities! I love that it is right at her level. You aren’t going to find a small business for sale or a crossword puzzle. Instead, there are stories and activities that you can do with with your children. In my latest issue, we learned how to make bathtub crayons and chocolate covered bananas.
If you are needing a gift for a preschool age child or have on yourself, make sure you subscribe to High Five. It is the only magazine I have seen on the market for that age group, and you know it is quality since it is made by Highlights!

If you just got done reading diet pill reviews, this is not a review you want to read. This doesn’t fall under anything I personally would eat on diet. However, getting my 4 year old to drink milk is like pulling teeth, so anything that makes her want to drink is a good thing. When I saw these (and the coupon I found helped too), I thought this may be exactly what I was looking for. The straw is about 6 inches long. It has a crunchy cereal shell on the outside and a fruity flavor lining. Madison (my four year old) loves them! It has gotten her to drink more milk. Would I buy these again? Probably not. There were two things that I wasn’t exactly pleased about. First, once you open the packaging there is no way to keep the other straws fresh. The second problem is why I probably won’t buy them again, and that is that I’d say 3/4 of the straws were broken. You can still use them as a straw, but when you have a 2-3 inch straw, it is kinda useless. If Kellogg’s can solve their packaging issue with this, I will definitely buy these again!
