Halloween Time!

Can you believe that Halloween is less than a month away? I know I can’t. Madison wanted to be a fairy with wings or a princess. My mother in law has a princess costume that we can use, so she was easy. However, I had no idea what to make Will. He is in a weird size this year, and it is really hard to find costumes for him. However, I did find a some Halloween costumes at the Halloween Party Store that were super cute and that would fit him.

(Ignore the mess in the background and the pearl necklace he’s holding too).  I just ordered this for him and it came within a couple of days!  It is tad long but besides that it fits awesome.  I love that the toolbelt is attached to the costume, so you don’t have to worry about losing it.  You can also adjust the belt in back and make it tighter too!  This does come with a cute little red hat too, but there is no way I can keep that on a 16 month olds head!  I am impressed with the quality and service from the Halloween Party Store and highly recommend you use them for your Halloween costume needs!

Pooh Counts

Pooh Counts is a book that we received when Madison was little. She still plays with it and so does Will! The pages are made of cardboard, so they are definitely tough and can withstand children.  As you can see from the picture, there are beads going across the top.  Each page of the this story is about the Winnie The Pooh characters going to pick berries.  The story has you move the beads/berries from one side to the next.  The beads/berries are also color coded too.  This book very easily teaches colors and counting, and your kids won’t even know they are learning!  There are a total of ten beads/berries, so it is still very elementary (though if the characters decide to eat all the berries they are going to need some fitness equipment to burn those calories off. Look another book idea for them. LOL).  Pooh Counts is also only ten pages long, so even kids with the shortest attention spans can enjoy it.

First Words

A great book for the colorer in your house is First Words.  This book comes with tis own erasable crayons.  The colors then erase with a soft cloth or tissue.  The kids can then color the book up again!  Each page is colorable.  It has large pictures to color and a label next to each item telling you what it is.  I swear, the next awesome idea they are going to come up with is colorable birthday invitations! If you have a child who likes to color, this is a book for them! It is not your typical throw away coloring book.
