We are excited at my house that football season is starting. We recently bought a big screen and were awed when we watched a preseason game on it on Sunday. It’s amazing what a little HD does for your television watching. With that being said, some of my fantasy football drafts have already started. I use to always pick Brett Favre (I am from Green Bay, and well, he’s the best quarterback ever). After that choice, I pretty much follow the newspaper and ESPN (since the hubby watches it every day). This year, however, I’ve come across WaiverWire which looks like it will save me a ton of time. I’ve got till the week before regular season to get my draft picks ready. If you sign up for the FREE Stimulus Package (which is what I did), you’ll get:
- Free Fantasy Leaders
- Free Player Rankings
- Free Draft Cheat Sheets
- Free Real Time Player News (RotoWire & TSN)
- Free NFL Injury Reports
- Free Player Depth Charts
- Free Game Day Weather
- Free Over 100 Local Papers and Official Team News
- Free Weekly Waiver Wire Pickups

They also have their own social network on the site where you can utilize a:
- Free Profile Page
- Free Weekly Guru Challenge
- Free access to the WaiverWire Fantasy Sports Community FORUM
- Fantasy Social network – Meet, Share, Learn and…Talk Smack!
Seriously, what more could you ask for? I personally love the leaders and the rankings which should really help me. The 100 local papers also helps, because my local paper only covers so much. You are able to get a much better feel for the non-big name players. This is free, so if you have a draft coming up, make sure you check it out like I did! You won’t be sorry!

The Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System is a great product to have in your house. How many times have you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and stubbed your toe? How many times have you blinded yourself by turning on the bathroom light? Well, you won’t have that problem anymore. The Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System comes with a light zone activator mat and 1 wireless illuminator light. Once you step on the mat, it lights up all the illuminator lights (you can buy extra ones). To turn it off, you just step on the mat again.
Even though there are several adult uses, this is great if you have kids too. Madison can get out of bed and have a lighted path to the bathroom. She doesn’t fully have to wake herself up anymore. Another great use is that we know when she is up (as long as she steps on the map). We can keep the illuminator light by us and see when she got up. We are actually planning on packing this up and bringing it to Green Bay with us when we go to visit my parents. My parents house isn’t as familiar to Madison as ours, so this will help tremendously for her late night bathroom trips. This also works great to check up on Will (my 18 month old) at night without having to turn the light on.
The great thing about the Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System is that there are no wires, no cords, and no clapping! You don’t get an easier system to use than this either. If you have anyone up at night in your house, you should definitely look at getting one of these.

As I have mentioned before, my family and I take a lot of trips up to Green Bay, Wisconsin. Now, I live in Chicago, so that is about a four hour drive without hitting any traffic. This can be a really long drive when you have a four year old and a one year old that you are trying to keep entertained. There are just so many movies you can watch. Plus, I like my kids to use their imaginiation, and these Tell Me A Story CDs do just that. Each CD has about 8 stories on it of varying lengths. The Tell Me A Story CD is about seventy minutes long, and The Tell me A Story 2 CD is about sixty minutes. I love that each story is told by a different narrator and has its own music. Let me add, the music on the CDs is awesome. Needless to say, I was surprised to see that Laura Hall is the composer (If you don’t remember who Laura Hall is, she was on Whose line is it anyway!). These stories draw both you and your in. I often found myself sitting on the edge of my seat wanting to find out what was next. We took these on our last to trip to Green Bay, and they passed the keep the kids busy test. Madison (my four year old) actually wanted to listen to them more than once!
If you don’t want your kids sitting in from the of the television set all day and want them to use their imaginiation, you need to get these Tell Me A Story CDs. They will keep your child both busy and happy!

Do you travel a lot? In this last year, I have started traveling quite a bit. I learned that my black luggage my hide dirt and wear and tear well. However, I have also learned that everyone has black luggage, and it all looks exactly the same when it is coming off the baggage claim thing at the airport. I always thought I was being tricky by tying a neon colored ribbon on my luggage. However, a lot of people are doing that now, so that has quit working. I hate to pass along this great idea, since then you all will buy them and ruin it for me. However, Luggage Charms are such a great idea that I have to pass it on. Luggage Charms are super easy to use. Just tie them (triple knot) to anything that you don’t want to lose when you are flying such as your baggage, stroller, car seats, etc. These charms come with brightly colored ribbons and tags. On the front of the tag, you are able to get whatever design you want. On the back of the tag, you are able write or affix a label with all of your identifying information in case your luggage ends up separated from you (I hate when my luggage ends up on a better trip than me). They won’t look like anything anyone else has on their bag, so you don’t have to worry about anyone accidentally grabbing you luggage. You also won’t be standing at the baggage area trying to figure out if that’s really your suitcase or not! Even if you aren’t sitting at the airport, you can also use these to show who’s suitcase belongs to who. Since the ones I have each have different ribbon colors, it was easy to know whose suitcase was whose suitcase on your visit to Green Bay this weekend.
If you do any traveling at all, I highly recommend these luggage charms. They are priced right, are fashionable, and they make your life that much easier. Now, I know you want a set of your own (each set has 4 charms in it), so I have arranged to give away 5 SETS of these, and you’ll get to pick what initial you want on each charm! How awesome is that? How many times have people told you to chill out (and if they didn’t use those exact words, that’s what they meant)? I know I get told that more than I’d like to admit. I allow things to get under my skin and ferment for days and sometimes weeks. In times like these, I even think I need to chill out. However, my problem always has been that I didn’t know how until The Anywhere, Anytime Chill Guide came along into my life. This is a great book for several reasons. First, there are 77 strategies in here. If one doesn’t work for you, try the next. There is truly something that can you in here. I also love that it is an easy read. I don’t need detailed directions stressing me when I am trying to chill out, and the author actually made it a really fun read. There are statements in the book like “Here are some simple ways to keep your cool that you can do in a crowd without looking like a weirdo”. Anytime you use weirdo, you score some bonus points. I love that the book reinforces trusting your body, yet allows you to make changes in what you do for certain situations that raise your blood pressure. Some of the situations I have been using the techniques for are road rage (I live in Chicago. How can you not have road rage here.) There is also some suggestions for motion sickness that I plan on trying out on our way to Green Bay tomorrow.
This is a book I highly recommend to anyone you know that needs to “chill” out. This book is even great for those who seem to have it all under control. It is funny, informative, and an easy read. There is a lot of great advice for different situations that you may encounter. This book helps you to simply feel better.
