Sometimes you come across a product that you know another mother had to have designed. The Bathtub Assistant is one of these products. Designed by a mother whose son hit the faucet in the tub when he slipped out of her hands (and ended up with a black eye), it allows you to support yourself without having to lean against the tub.
First, the thing I love the most about this product is that it keeps mommy dry. Nothing is more frustrating to me than having to change my clothes after giving my kids a bath because I leaned up against the side of the tub that happened to be all wet (and this ends up happening more times than not). Instead, you are leaning against a cushion that is actually quite comfortable. Second, I was able to put this together all by myself with a little help from the directions. I personally hate products that require me to be brain surgeon to figure out. These aren’t those type of directions. Third, it is adustable for short people like me! I was able to use it and so was my husband (who is a foot taller than me!) Lastly, The Bathtub Assistant fold up, so when not in use, it doesn’t take up much space at all. Also, it makes it super easy to travel with too!
If you are looking for a prodcut to make your life easier if you have little ones, then this is it. It also would make a great baby shower gift or baby gift for the new moms in your life!

I have always loved this show, and this season has not disappointed me yet. I thought I was going to miss Sara since she left the show. However, the expert writing has easily made her disappear from our minds. Each week I am anticipating the story. I am glad they got away from the more personal stuff and is sticking more to the story of the crime (though I did love the miniature killer). I almost had to turn it off 2 weeks ago when they did the story on the 3 year old (I won’t give it away in case you haven’t seen it). You know it good when it hits that close to home. I love all the interesting stuff they can do like taking finger prints from a faucet or figuring out the trajectory of the bullet that killed somebody. The show made being a CSI look glamorous. If you need an awesome show to watch on Thursday nights (or you can catch the reruns on Spike all week long), make sure you tune into CSI!

One of the best sites on the web to see how much of a carbon footprint you are leaving is GreenIQ. They have a great and easy quiz that you can take. For example, here are my results:

I was very happy to see that I am at a 54%. Both my carbon emissions and ecological footprint were taken into account to give me my score. That is better than most people. However, it also shows that there is a lot more that we need to do as a family. They have a lot of really good resources to learn how to reduce your carbon footprint. They have a list of 100 things that you can do today to help. Some of the easy things that you can do include using reusable bags at the grocery store, drink tap water, turn the faucet off when you brush your teeth, use a low flow toilet, and washing full loads of laundry. I found that I did a lot of things on the list without realizing the environmental impact. I even enjoyed the section on Kids Gifts that help make less of an impact on the environment. Another thing that you can do is when you are looking for travel deals, vacation packages , cheap cruises, or cheap travel, you check out the airlines beforehand. Some are greener than others. Not all
flight tickets nor are all the
cheapest cruises created equal.
If you are looking for ways to reduce your imprint, you should definitely check GreenIQ out and take their quiz.
