Countdown To Christmas: World Of Cars

Are your kids a fan of the movie Cars? If so, World Of Cars is a must have book in your house. This book tells you the back story of all the cars in the movie Cars. The illustrations are awesome and just like the movie, so they pull your kids right in. The stories are very engaging.  If you were ever wondering how Mater lost his hood, this book will tell you!  There is even a map showing  Guido and Luigi’s crazy road trip across the United States!  The stories are broken down into five chapters, so you can easily read one a night for a bedtime story.  This book makes a great accompaniment to the movie, and I highly recommend it.

Countdown To Christmas: Kid Craft Gifts

I have two of the hottest presents this year for kids.

Want to be the best present giver ever?  If you have any little girls you need to buy for this Christmas, the Hannah Montana Glitter Studio is sure to be a winner.  Now, the ages say 6 and up.  However, my 4 year old had a blast with this.  It has over 100 pieces to it.  There is everything from shimmer and shine art glaze to stencils to markers to message card.  There is even Hannah Montana stationary!  My personal favorite has to be the watercolors tray that is in the shape of a guitar.  Any Hannah Montana fan would love this!  All moms will love this, because it is all washable!

Another favorite this year will be the Sour Candy Factory. As an adult, I even want to play with this.  This kit includes everything you need to make the most sour candy possible.  You get a star, heart and sports molds.  You get lollipop sticks, a dropper for liquid sweets, and three over the top flavors:  sour grape, rockin’ raspberry, and wild watermelon.  Lastly, you get what holds the candy together:  corn syrup, gelatin, and citric acid.  Mom doesn’t need to run out and get anything.  Some of the candy you can make includes lollipops, liquid candy, and even squishy homemade marshmallows!

If you need something for the kid who has everything, both of these will make great gifts!

Countdown To Christmas: Barbie & The Diamond Castle

Let me start by saying up until now, I was not a huge fan of Barbie. As a kid, I didn’t really play with her, and Madison is too little for them. I actually had no idea that Barbie even had DVDs out (and sold more than 58 million units!) till I came across Barbie & The Diamond Castle.  I was all ready to not like it.  However, I was surprised to find that I did like it (and the really sad thing is that I have one of the songs stuck in my head, and we watched it over two hours ago!).  The story was fast moving enough that it kept Madison’s attention.  Will absolutely loved the dogs in this movie.  Ever time they came on the screen, he screamed and giggled.  The animation was great — they almost looked real.  At no point did the movie get too scary either (sometimes when bad things happen in movies it scares the kids).  I like the moral of the story too.  It was about friendship being the greatest gift of all.  The DVD didn’t really push the moral either, but with the great story, really got it across.  The music in this movie is good too (see note above about having it stuck in my head).  Madison was singing the songs from it immediately after watching it.  After watching this movie, we will definitely be getting more Barbie movies.

Countdown To Christmas: Bergino Baseballs

Do you know anyone who is a sports fan?  If so, you need to get them one of these Bergino’s baseballs.  I own two of these, and they are awesome.  Not only do you get a cool looking baseball, you get a piece of turf that goes underneath.  They definitely are a talking piece for everyone who sees them.  I know that every person who has seen them in my house has asked where we got it from.  Now, they have ton of choices.  You can get a baseball with your hometown (if its a big city like Chicago, New York, Boston, etc.).  They also have peace ones like the one above.  Some other unique ones are It’s A Boy, Constitution of the US, and Happy Holidays just to name a few.  They have way more styles to pick from.  You can even get mini bat pens and a baseball glove business card holder.

If you need a great gift for the guy in your life that has everything, this is definitely it.

Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive

I am a diehard Pampers fan.  My kids are pee machines, and no other diaper held up better than Pampers.  My favorite Pampers diapers have to be the Pampers Swaddlers.  Now, I am super excited to announce that Pampers has a new Swaddlers on the market.  They are called Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive.  These diapers are both hypoallergenic and very gentle for your babies skin. These are definitely for the little ones with super sensitive skin or were born with diaper rash (yes, I know children who it looked like were born with diaper rash). These are super soft diapers; it would be surprised if you could find another diaper out there soft like this. The absorb away liner is awesome. It truly does keep the wetness away from the baby’s little butt. The sides of this diaper are also ultra breathable and soft and stretchy. You can actually take the sides of the diaper and blow through them and still feel your breath. Why is this important? My kids would get pricky heat rashes where the sides are with other diapers — never with pampers. I have to think the breathablility helped prevented this. Though, I have to say that I think the most awesome part of these new diapers is the what I like to call “The Pee Indicator”. Nothing is more frustrating than when you can’t tell if they went in the diaper or not. It will look like it, but not feel like, and then you end up doing a poll of the room to see if you should change your little one. Pampers Wetness Indicator (that’s what they like to call it) is a strip on the outside of the diaper that changes from yellow to blue when your baby is wet. No more guessing!

Now, Pampers was kind enough to send me a pack of the Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive diapers to giveaway to one of my lucky readers!  This pack has 34 diapers in it and are a Size 2 (which is 12-18 lbs).  What do you have to do win this?
