Skyscanner Maps Tool Widget

I love finding new toys to put on my blogs  This widget is something I am hoping to incorporate over at my travel blog shortly.  However, I wanted to make sure that anyone who was interested in travel checked out this widget first!

This is Flash travel map that is very easy to embed into your site.  You can display flight route information and is free to to download too.  You can fully configure it so that you can show your readers a fixed departure point, fixed destination point, fixed departure and destination, or an ‘anywhere to anywhere’ open search.  There are 20 languages to pick from, and it can also be added to added to iGoogle Netvibes, and your desktop.

Even though Skyscanner the most powerful and flexible flight search engine in Europe (which provides instant online price comparisons on over 300,000 flights and over 600 airlines), this maps tool widget works for the United States also.  I used it to map all of the trips I took this year without any problems.  When I typed Chicago into the Maps Code Wizard, I was able to pull up all three airports here (Midway, Ohare, and Rockford).  This is a great way to show your readers where you are going when leaving for vacation.  If you do live in Europe or have a big European readership, this is a great way for them to check prices for trips. Head over to Skyscanner and check out their maps tool widget!

Where should I travel to?

Hotels by City has a great list of city guides if you are trying to figure out where to go on vacation. They have everything from an Australia Hotel Guide to the United States to Europe. They not only tell you which hotels are in the area to stay, but they give you a guide to the city. I checked out two different cities. The first one was Arizona, since we are going there in February. Since we have not decided what we are going to do once we get there, I thought it would be great to start checking that out. To see how good the guide really was, I checked out the guide for Green Bay, Wisconsin. That is where I grew up and know the best. I was impressed with the guide since they mentioned stopping at Heritage Hill. That is not a place that makes a lot of tourist guides. However, it is an awesome place. They give you a glimpse into life into the 18th century. Hotels by City also gives you links to Chamber of Commerce and the Visitors Bureau too. This is a one stop shop to help you plan your vacation. I know when it gets closer to our trip to Arizona, we will be stopping here.

Now it’s not a dream to find cheap cruise vacations or the cheap airline tickets. On Internet you can easily search for different flights with cheapest airline tickets. The travel distances which were very large in the past are now very less due facilities like airline companies and hotels. Now you can find hundreds of flights to each and every destination. Several flight discounts are also offered by many airlines.

Syswear

I came across Syswear this morning, and I think I want to buy every T-shirt they have. This is definitely a shop for Geeks. :) Their prices are reasonable, and they actually carry XXL. Nobody ever has shirts that big. This is one of my favorites:

I think some of the developers I know need this one:

These can be shipped to you in around 2-3 days, and it looks like they ship to UK, Europe, and the US. Happy shopping and I’ll let you know which one I decided to get!
