Alice.com

Have you guys heard of this Alice before? If not, keep reading, because Alice.com will change the way your shop. Seriously.

At Alice.com, you can order your groceries online, and they ship them to your door.  Now, they don’t carry fresh items (like fruit or vegetables), but they have pretty much everything else you need for your house like Jet Dry, Magic Eraser, and diapers (that’s actually what I ordered on my last order).  They have a great deals section you need to make sure you check out.  I saved $5 on my first order, and I only ordered 5 things!  My favorite part though? You can set up alerts (which you choose) that will remind you to order more things like toilet paper, diapers, etc before you run out.  As a forgetful mom, I love that.  Nothing is worse than running out of detergent or diapers (and we’ve all been there!).  Your items ship right to your front door too!  You can see from the picture they come in a cute box that you definitely won’t miss.  There is no delivery charge either!  I live in the Chicago area, and the prices for me are pretty comparable to my local grocery stores.

On your first Alice order, you get $10 off too if you go there from my link either in this post or from the ad in my sidebar to the right.  How great is that?  You get to try Alice and save some money in the process!  Let me know what you think after you’ve tried it, but I know I’ll be having lots of my groceries delivered right to my door from now on!

Baby Happy Baby Sad

baby-happy-baby-sadA book that Will loves in our house is Baby Happy Baby Sad.  This is one book in a series about a diaper clad baby giving us his take on life.  This book is about two emotions little ones certainly understand:  happy and sad.  This board book is great, because Will can’t rip the pages.  It also is short enough that it hold his attention span.  The illustrations are great.  Even though Madison can’t read yet, she has definitely picked up what this book is about.  The pictures make it so she can read it to Will.  The other reason we love this book is that Will’s new word is “baby”.  He loves to turn the pages and repeat over and over again “baby” and giggle.

If you are looking for a great book for little kids, Baby Happy Baby Sad definitely gets two thumbs up here.

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. The winners are Emily, Margaret Hall, Kelly F, Melissa Barnes, Mary D, Eloise, Heather, Charlene, Sue, and Jessica! Congrats!

Did you know that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes redesigned their packaging?  I love it!  You now have a container that you can proudly leave on your counter.  The packaging comes in eight different designs.  However, I have to admit that what excited me most about these changes is the single sheet dispensing system.  With the old design, I could never just get one sheet.  Now, you just open, pull, wipe, and you are done. Now, the wipes still work the same and are just as effective which is great when you have kids.  We recently got to use them in Will’s room.  In case you don’t know, Will is 21 months old.  He went down for a nap and woke up several hours later.  What we didn’t know is that he had taken his diaper off.  No, his room wasn’t covered in pee.  Actually, it was much much worse.  Yes, he had pooped.  It was all over his sheets, him, and his crib.  I handed Will off to my husband and got to work cleaning up his crib.  Now, soap and water really wasn’t going to do the trick for me.  Instead, I was able to use these wipes since they kill 99.9% of germs.  Clean up couldn’t have been easier. Now, the majority of you don’t have fun cleanups like that I realize.  However, I do use my Clorox Wipes all over the house.  They are especially helpful in the kitchen and in the bathroom.  Since I know you would all love this in your house, I have arranged to send 10 lucky winners a coupon to get one of these yourself!  Here’s what you need to do:

WisePacks™ Traveling Backpacks

wisepackOnce you become a mom, the contents of your purse change. I now find I am carrying extra diapers, clothes, sippy cups, candy, goldfish crackers, baby wipes, tissues, etc. Now, this wouldn’t be a problem if this didn’t add another say 50 lbs to my already semi heavy purse!  Granted, all that stuff doesn’t weigh 50 lbs.  However, it does throw your back out when you carry too much weight on one side of your body (trust me on this one, I’ve had long discussions with my chiropractor on this very subject).  Ever notice after a long day of shopping or out with the kids that your shoulder and arm ache on the side you were carrying your purse?  I know I have.

This is where the WisePacks™ Traveling Backpacks come in handy.  You are able to put everything (and I mean everything) you need in this and still have extra room.  I love this because not only is it helpful to my poor aching back, but it is also fashionable!  This looks way better than my 5 year old diaper bag (which also causes me back pain).  These traveling backpacks are made from rip-stop nylon and are lined with bright, contrasting colors to make finding things easy.  There are also several pockets to help you keep yourself organized too!  You even get a travel pouch for your make-up, jewelry, ipod, etc. that easily can be clipped inside of the bag!  My most favorite part of this backpack is that it has a security pouch in it.  Up to this point, these kind of purses always made me nervous that someone would swipe my wallet.  The security pouch rests against you back, so you’ll definitely know if someone is messing with it.

This backpack should be on every woman’s Christmas list this year — I know it’s on mine.

Countdown to Christmas: Puppetivity Pal

The Puppetivity Pal is a great gift for babies and even toddlers.  It is big enough to be used as a puppet, and also sits up on its own, so babies can enjoy it.  There is just so many things on here to play with.  The ears crinkle (which makes Will giggle every time).  If you press the heart, the puppy barks.  If your little one is teething, one paw on this puppy is a teether while the other paw is rattle.  The tail squeaks.  There is also a mirror on the foot, so your little one can look at themselves (and giggle).  What I like best is that it has a link on the back that allows you to attach The Puppetivity Pal to any stroller, diaper bag, etc.  This is one of the softest stuffed animals I have ever felt too.  Will likes to just hug this like a little baby and carry it around.  I love that I don’t have to worry if he falls with it, because it is sooo soft.

This is a great affordable gift for this Christmas season.
