I was lucky enough to be on a call with Peter Walsh and also be able to get my hands on his new In Place System. Basically, with his system, the mess you call your workspace gets organized — everything has it’s own place. Now, for as much as I look like I have it together, I really don’t. Bill’s biggest pet peeve is that I have loose paper everywhere. I mean practically in every room. Then I would always wonder why I couldn’t find anything. The worst thing is that I have folders set up to keep track of stuff. However, they were in my bedroom, so I was lazy. It was easier not to put them away.

However, I have been using the In Place System, and life is so much more organized now. Bill is happier. I am happier. Here’s what my files look like:

I am organized. I keep it on the end table next to me, so I have no excuse to not file anything. It seriously has been working. The file I have sticking up in the back — that is for all my miscellaneous things. You know, things like coupons, paperwork, etc. That is what was sitting all over the place. I now still get to keep what I think is important, and I’m not driving my husband crazy anymore.

What I am showing you so far is only part of the Peter Walsh In Place System. Every single person in this house gives it two thumbs up. It was definitely needed in this house!

I am going to let you all in on a little secret that I am doing to do for Christmas this year. See the picture on the left? Those are stamps. I made them over at PictureItPostage and will be affixing them to all my Christmas cards this year. Tell me that isn’t the cutest thing you have ever seen? There are just so many uses for these stamps. You can do what I did and put them on Christmas cards. However, I can see them being used for baby announcements, engagements, holidays and graduations. You can’t make an invitation more customized and personal than this. Plus, you don’t see stamps like this too often. That makes it unique, and people will love it! You will be the talk of everyone you send these too!

How hard is it to make these? It is not hard at all. PictureItPostage allows you to either create these stamps on their site or you can download a program, and you can create them on your desktop. You can customize the background color and what color the text is on them too! It literally took me about 10 minute to completely put this together. Shipping took no time at all. I am 100% satisfied with this company and would highly recommend you use them also.

Also, they are having a “Get Real” Photo contest that starts October 31st. They want to see the best of the worst when it comes to photos. They want you to send them your worst pictures that you really don’t want to see the light of day. How do you enter? On October 31, head over to PictureItPostage and upload your photo. Beginning November 21, all visitors to the “Get Real” contest website will have a chance to vote for their favorite photos. The winners will be announced December 8. What can you win? They are giving away two Canon Digital SLR Camera and five PictureItPostage coupon codes good for 100 customized photo stamps. The ten first prize winners will each receive one PictureItPostage coupon code good for one pack of customized postage stamps. We all have horrible pictures — now have them work for you!

Make sure you check out PictureItPostage!

How many of you are parents and still have electrical outlet plugs on your electrical outlets? My house is personally covered with them. However, the bad thing about regular outlet plugs is their size! How many of you had your kids put them in their mouth??!!?? For keeping things out of your outlets, they work great. However, as a choking hazard, they are one of the worst things to have in your house! I have watched both my children put them in their mouths. Then you have to go and retrieve them from their mouths leading to a tramatic experience for all involved.

That being said there is an awesome product on the market that solves this problem. Safety Caps are bigger than the traditional outlet plug, so your children are not able to stick the whole thing in their mouth. If for some reason they are able to get the whole thing in there, there are two holes in there to aid in breathing. The dad who designed his had his own daughter choke on a regular outlet plug, so he knew he had to do something so it never happened again to another family.

The things I definitely like about this product are almost too numerous to count. First, my kids can’t choke on it. Second, the color is awesome. It actually blends in really well with our electrical covers, so you almost can’t even tell that I have my outlet covered. Its a small thing, but it does look prettier. Lastly, the price rocks! For $9.99 (plus $2.97 shipping and handling), you can outfit your whole house by using this coupon! My regular ones were more than that! I know that my children’s safety is definitely worth that.

If you have little ones or know someone who does, this is a product that is both safe and can save lives. This can make a great gift for a new mom or just making your own house safer.

This doesn’t fall under anything I personally would eat on diet. However, getting my 4 year old to drink milk is like pulling teeth, so anything that makes her want to drink is a good thing. When I saw these (and the coupon I found helped too), I thought this may be exactly what I was looking for. The straw is about 6 inches long. It has a crunchy cereal shell on the outside and a fruity flavor lining. Madison (my four year old) loves them! It has gotten her to drink more milk. Would I buy these again? Probably not. There were two things that I wasn’t exactly pleased about. First, once you open the packaging there is no way to keep the other straws fresh. The second problem is why I probably won’t buy them again, and that is that I’d say 3/4 of the straws were broken. You can still use them as a straw, but when you have a 2-3 inch straw, it is kinda useless. If Kellogg’s can solve their packaging issue with this, I will definitely buy these again!

The favorite part of this book for my kids is the button that giggles when you press it. Each page is about what makes kids laugh and happy. It isn’t anything exciting for us parents (like finding Barnes and Noble coupons). Instead, there are things like playing peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake. If you don’t remember these childhood poems, they also list them besides the story. The pages are cardboard, so little ones can’t damage the book. This book is worth it just for the giggles!
