Huru Humi Giveaway!

Huru Humis will be one of the big gifts that everyone is going to want for Christmas this year. They are made for children ten and up. However, my 4 year old and 1 year old love them too. Each Huru Humi has its own name and distinct personality. Their interests range from sports to journalism. We have two of them, and I swear I have teenagers living in my house now. If I don’t check, Madison has been sneaking them into her bed with her at night too.

The reason I like these is that they interact with you. You are able to ask them questions, and they actually will respond to you. The other cool thing is that if you put two Huru Humis next to one another, they start talking to one another! They will have a whole conversation with or without you. These definitely teach your kids many social skills.  It shows them how to have a conversation, not to interrupt, and have differing opinions.  They are fairly easy to use, so kids of all ages will be able to use them.  If you quite talking to them, they even try to get your attention.  Another feature that my kids love is that their hair and outfits are interchangable too.

I have already seen commercials for these on, I think, Nick Jr or one of those kid stations, so you know this is going to be big. Each Huru Humi costs $29.99 and can be purchased at Walmart, Target, Kmart and Toys R Us. However, if you do not want to wait to get one of these, I was able to get not 1, not 2, but 3 of these to giveaway to my lucky readers.  Now, two will be given away randomly.  The third one will be randomly given away among the people who make a Huru Humi video.

365 Days of Baby Einstein

365 Days of Baby Einstein is one of the books that is such a great deal that you cannot pass it up. This book teaches your children about art, language, poetry, math, and science. The illustrations and pictures in here are awesome and engage your child. There are read aloud rhymes, interactive questions, and poems that encourage your children and you to have a conversation about what is going on on that page. The pages of this book are paper, so you do have to be careful. There are things in this book that both Madison (my 4 year old) and Will (my 1 year old) can do and be entertained by. Each section of the book is color coded, so if you want to work on certain skill like language development, you can easily find it. They even have pages where you can learn how to say words like dog and cat in other languages.  This is a book that can easily be given as either a baby shower gift or a birthday present, and you won’t break the bank either.

Panasonic KX-TG6053S 5.8 GHz FHSS Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System

I wish I had some digital signage so I could show you how awesome my new toy is. It is the Panasonic KX-TG6053S 5.8 GHz FHSS Expandable Digital Cordless Phone System with 3 Handsets. Its a mouthful, I know. I bought it, because our other phones got to the point that you couldn’t hear out of them. The decision for which one to get was quite easy. Most cordless phones don’t have speaker phone. In my house, that is a very important feature. Madison likes to talk on the phone and when I have it on speaker, I am able to hear the conversation and know when she is done. The feature I absolutely love is the talking Caller ID. I love that it tells me who is calling before I have to get up find the phone. You are able to set the time, so it shows up on the headset too! The screen is white on it, so it is very easy to read too. The clarity is excellent. I didn’t realize how bad our other phone really was until we got this one. If you are in the market for a new cordless phone, I vote for this one! It will not disappoint!
