sweatyBetty FitFlops

You always hear that the Unites States is behind in fashion, and once again it has happened. The latest rage in England is the Fit Flop. Yes, Fit Flops not flip flops. These actually launched last summer there and sold out! These shoes (I think I can call them that) are the next best thing since sliced bread. Not only are they fashionable, they help work out your legs and butt. Now, who can’t use that (and this has to be perfect excuse to buy another pair of shoes)? Since all you have to do is walk around in these to work out, it is the easiest workout you will ever do. Fitflops contain micro wobbleboard™ technology which makes this all possible. They come in five colors (black, chocolate, navy, silver, and red), so you can easy match your wardrobe. For US customers, these shoes are a bit on the pricey side ($96 including shipping). However, that is definitely cheaper than a gym membership!

Journal of a Rock Angel

Journal of A Rock Angel is a personal blog that should be checked out.  She has an awesome layout that includes intense colors, but it is enjoyable to look at.  I personally love the three flowers in her header.  They are really pretty, and I think they actually set the tone for the blog.  Sometimes when you read another person’s blog, there is no emotion there.  However, with hers, I can definitely “hear” her voice.  You can easily laugh with her, cry with her, be angry with her, and smile with her.  That is talent you don’t see all the time.  I think she gives us an awesome glimpse into her life.  I almost feel like I am there.  This is blog that is never boring and always interesting to read.  Go check it out!

Mummified Times Five

Mummified Times FiveI have a guilty pleasure — it is reading Mummified Times Five. I first met this Australian mommy on a forum that I frequent. I have also seen her on other social networking ventures I am a part of like Twitter and Entrecard. She makes me laugh and I wonder how she does it all. I only have 2 kids, and I feel like pulling my hair out most days. I love her blog picture. It reminds me of myself with the wild and crazy hair and the look of craziness. I also love her tagline, “Martha Stewart Couldn’t Handle This House!” The colors of her blog template also immediately jump out at you. They are a little girly, but I couldn’t imagine her blog with any other template. It immediately grabs your attention. I personally like reading about other people’s lives (and obviously I am not the only one since on my family blog I get a lot of traffic). I like the advice given to handle the unruly ones and ideas like the pirate goody bags. If you want a great and interesting read, I highly recommend Mummified Times Five.

Jungle Colors

The Backyardigans did it again with Jungle Colors. They are able to take something that could be considered boring to children and make it exciting and interesting. They are learning without even realizing it! The cool thing about the Backyardigans is that their adventures really take place in their back yard, but through their imagination they able to go anywhere from the Outer Banks to the Jungle. As you can tell, this story takes place in the jungle. While reading about their adventures, they include the colors of some of the things they are doing. For example, they are walking over white stones and seeing a blue river. The pages are cardboard so it is a great book for babies and toddlers alike.

Underwear Do’s and Dont’s

I am little worried about what kind of hits I’ll get with a title of a book like this, but I love Underwear Dos and Donts. It is one of the funniest little kid books ever (and as you can tell from a lot my prior posts, I own a ton of kid books). Plus, it does teach your kids to wear their underwear! The colors are bright and will keep their attention. The story is short and to the point. It tells you how to and how not to wear your underwear. For example, you should not wear your underwear over your Halloween costume! As an adult, I found it hard not to giggle at this book. It gets 2 thumbs up from me.

Alive Blog Directory

Blog directories are a great way to get both traffic and increase your pagerank. Alive Blog Directory is a directory that you definitely should get your site into. It is built on the main Alive Directory resource.

Submitting a link is super easy. There are a ton of categories to choose from such as games, pets, relationships, society, etc for you to categorize your site. There is a category for everyone there. You are also able to list your site either yearly or permanently. You do not very often see a permanent listing, so it was a nice surprise to come across that. The directory also allows you to see which listings were most recently added and which ones are getting the most hits from the directory. Both are extremely interesting to look at.

On the nuts and bolts side of things, this site is very easy to navigate. As I stated before, you can very easy submit your site. The colors chosen are extremely pleasing to your eyes, and it is very easy to read. This site is just as easy for someone submitting a link as it is for someone looking for blogs to check out. Overall, you should definitely check this directory out for exposure for your blog.

Monkey Groupie Tees & More

You all know my fascination with T-shirts with great sayings on them. Well, Monkey Groupie Tees & More is another place I can get my fix. Not only do they have an easily navigable site, they have some great T-shirts as well. I personally love this one:

It makes me laugh. Now, they have a ton of sayings to pick from. The part I absolutely love about this site is that once you pick your saying, you have several options of what to do. You can get a T-shirt in several different styles and colors. You are also able to get boxer short, hats, sticker, coffee mugs, and thongs. They are reasonably priced too. Also, make sure you check out the product information on each shirt. It tells you the thickness of the shirts and how it should fit you. For example, my shirt should be: Not too tight, not too loose. Love it!

I also like this shirt for Madison:

You can even get that in a onsie, a teddy bear, a magnet, and a ton of other stuff.

This is your one stop shop for all your needs. They carry babies, kids, adults, and plus size T-shirts. I highly recommend checking them out.
