Fretzels

This has also been posted on Lisa Cooking.

fretzelsI am always a fan of anything covered in chocolate.  However, when you cover pretzels in chocolate, you know they are going to be good.  However, I’ve actually never tasted anything as good as Fretzels.  Bill, my hubby, actually wants me to order more!  That’s how much he loved them!

Fretzels by Jill are hand-dipped designer gourmet chocolate covered pretzels that are drenched in milk, dark, or white chocolate and adorned with a variety of candy toppings.  You can pretty much get whatever you want on your pretzel.  They even have specialty flavors like SugarPlum and Eggnog, and their latest Fretzels pretzel Bark – available in Espresso and Peppermint for the holidays. Each Fretzel is made with the perfect pretzel to chocolate and topping ratio, providing a multi-sensory taste experience with every bite.

Fretzels are a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for Christmas.  By far, these are some of the best pretzels I’ve ever eaten, and I can only highly recommend them!

Mr. Twister™ Moo Mixer™

This has been cross posted on Lisa Cooking.

My kids LOVE this. I just can’t say LOVE enough. Capitalizing LOVE doesn’t even describe it. Basically, what the Moo Mixer is a push button mixer.  However, it’s easy enough for both my kids (2 and 5 to use).  They actually fight over who can do their milk first (I also have chocolate milk lovers in my house too).  This is how easy this is:

Add milk:

Add chocolate:

Hit button to stir:

It is that easy! Granted, a spoon is much cheaper, but nowhere near as fun.  We actually hide it from the kids when not in use, because otherwise, all they would do is play with it.  I would recommend the Mr. Twister Moo Mixer for any house who has little ones that like chocolate milk.

Mother’s Day Gifts: See’s Candies

candiesIf you are looking for a Mother’s Day present for the weekend, have no fear, See’s Candies is here for you.  I don’t know any mom who wouldn’t want chocolate for Mother’s Day.  Things I love about the keepsake box is that it is cute,  and you can use it again.   It is filled with 3 different kinds of chocolate, truffles, and fail covered milk chocolate hearts.  There is definitely something here for everyone.  I know I liked it a lot (and I didn’t share it either).  The best part is the price.  It is $19, so it is definitely an affordable gift!

0309_848keepsakeheartsAnother Mother’s Day gift you should check out is the Keepsake of Hearts Bag. This bag is filled with foil wrapped Milk Chocolate hearts.  The organza wrap matches the keepsake box, so you can give the mom in your life both!  This cute little bag is only $6.75 so it is very affordable.  (On a side note, I can see giving this as a gift to bridesmaids at a wedding too if they periwinkle matches you colors.  I know chocolate also makes a good gift.)

See’s Candies has been around for over 85 years and has one of the largest chocolate selections I have ever seen.  You can definitely find something for everyone there.  The chocolate tastes excellent, and their tagline “Quality Without Compromise” definitely holds true.

Tootsie Roll Review and Giveaway

This contest is now over. The winner is Kat! Congrats!

Who doesn’t like candy?  If you are raising your hand, slowly walk away from the post and don’t read anymore.  If you like candy, keep reading because this post is all about it.

I was lucky enough to have Tootsie send me a ton of candy to try out (like I would ever turn down candy!).  I love the Tootsie Roll banks.  I remember those from being a kid!  My kids are super excited to have them (and the candy inside).    My mother in law absolutely loves the Caramel Apply Pops.  I love the bag of Fluffy Stuff Cotton Candy.  Yes, I have to admit to hiding it, so I didn’t have to share with the kids.  Of course, we have the Pops suckers with a tootsie roll inside and Blow Pops, and those get a thumbs up too.  Though of the suckers, my favorite has to be the Tootsie Pops Miniatures.  They are the perfect size if you have little ones who never end up finishing their suckers and handing them to you (mom).  No more figuring out what you are going to do with a half eaten sucker.  Oh, I can’t forget the Dubble Bubble bubble gum either.  Love it!

I could seriously go on and on about this candy, but I know you all read giveaway in the title of this post.  You want to know how you could get your own 16 lbs of candy.  (Yes, you read that right.  I checked the UPS label — there is 16 lbs of candy here!).  Without further ado, here’s what you need to do:

Virtual Baby Shower: Teeccino Caffe

pr-3-hr2

This contest is now closed.  The winners are DeeAnn S, Jessica, Terri L, Susan, and Christopher H.  Congrats!

For some moms, being pregnant can be extremely difficult if you love coffee.  However, one of the first things you need to do after you find out you are pregnant is cut your caffeine intake which for many means that you need to cut out coffee in your life.  However, you don’t have to do that anymore.

Teeccino is a herbal coffee that brews just like coffee.  It even tastes like coffee even though it has no caffeine in it.  It is a nutritious blend of herbs, grain, fruits and nuts that is roasted.  Teeccino comes in 10 popular flavors like Vanilla Nut, Mocha, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Chai, Almond Amaretto, Caffé and Java. It is distributed nationwide in natural food and specialty grocery stores.

I know, you are wondering how does it taste.  Great!  I do have to admit that my favorite flavor is chocolate (does that really surprise anyone?).  After having a cup (or two or maybe even three) of this, I can understand why people like coffee.  I do love the fact that there is no caffeine in it.  I quit drinking caffeine when I was pregnant with Madison, and decaf coffee just never did anything for me.  However, this coffee makes you wanting another cup.

If you are pregnant, trying to get pregnant, or just don’t want to drink caffeine, Teeccino Caffe is for you!  Now, I know you’d love to try some, so I have a couple of ways you can do that.  First, sign up for their Healthy Tips
Newsletter, and they’ll send you a free packet!  I am also giving away 5 sampler packs (each with 10 coffee packets)!  Here’s what you need to do:

Leave a comment on this entry.  Head over to the Teeccino site  and tell me something about the company or their coffee.

Each of these gives you one additional entry:
