This is a newspaper that I have always heard about, but never read before. During our stay in Sedona, each morning we got a copy of USA Today. I have to admit I was impressed. I do like my Chicago Tribune, since it has local news. However, USA Today has a great scope of national news. Granted, it is not as exciting as reading about body stockings. We definitely don’t feel like we have been out of the loop even though we have been on vacation. It’s great to still know what’s going on in the world. I may consider subscribing to this once we get home.

I did like our local paper till about 3 weeks ago.  We actually got both the Chicago Tribune and the Daily Southtown for the longest time.  The Daily Southtown was part of the Sun Times conglomerate, and they decided to merge it with The Star paper.  Now, I have been through changes before with the Southtown, and I am usually willing to give change a chance.  However, this time, I was disappointed.  Not only did they change the look, there was less news for me to read.  There was no waiting to see what happens.  The paper made it clear that this was the new look and the new paper.  I canceled it.  Note to newspapers:  even when you merge, you shouldn’t completely change everything!
