Sorel Boots

I live in Chicago where we have crappy winters. Really, we do. We have lots of snow and lots of cold here.  That being said, to get through a Chicago winter you need a great quality boot.  Sorel fits that bill.  They make their boots for purpose first.  I have admit I loved all the women’s boots.  It was really hard for me to decide which boot I wanted to go with.  I love the high boots, but my legs are short and they tend to look dorky on me.  These boots aren’t high, but are perfect for me instead.  I love that they have handles for my to pull on (with two kids I really hate having to tie anything).  They are super comfortable and warm too!  They also don’t make my feet look fat (all you women out there know what I mean about how winter boots can sometimes make your feet look a lot bigger than they are).  I love that they are fashionable too!  These will be the boots I pick Madison up from school with once the snow falls.

I love that Sorel gets that boots can be fashionable and serve a purpose too!  I can’t wait for it to snow!

Clear Excellence® Sparkling Flavored Beverages

I just tried doing a google search on this awesome water and I can’t find anything about it which is crazy. I decided that the world definitely needs to know about this water.

We originally bought the Clear Excellence® Sparkling Flavored water, because we were having a hard time getting Madison to drink water. The plan was to buy flavored water and see what happens. Actually, this turned out better than we expected. This water is carbonated, so Madison thinks it is soda. (Yes, I am a bad mom and didn’t correct her.) She thinks it is awesome that we buy her soda every time we go shopping.

Madison now drinks water and loves it.  I have tried a few of the flavors (and there are a lot of them), and they aren’t too bad.  Mommy might have to start drinking water now too.  When on sale, I can get a 1L bottle for $.69.  Not on sale they are usually a dollar a piece.  However, if it gets Madison drinking water it is well worth it.

A Day At The Beach

A Day at the Beach is another book that works great for toddlers and babies. The pages are made out of thick cardboard, so you do not need to worry about tearing or then being eaten.  Dora also is usually a hit with the younger crowd, and this book is no exception.  The pictures are good enough that your kids can figure out what the words say without being able to read.  The plot of the story is obviously Boots, Dora, and backpack spending the day at the beach.  One of things that I love is that in the first couple of pages they apply sunscreen.  That is great attention to details.  The book is about ten pages long, so it is the right length for little ones.  If you need a great filler gift for a present or just need some more kid friendly books, then this is you choice.

Spaghetti O’s: Dora

Madison wanted these, so we got them. To be honest, they taste exactly the same as the regular Spaghetti O’s (the price was the same so I was willing to try them). However, I have to admit was I was impressed with the shapes. I figured they would have Dora and that was it. Instead, they have Dora, Boots, Backpack, Map, Star, and Swiper. The shapes even look like the characters. Madison loves them, so I give them 2 thumbs too.
