Ruminations of a Small Town Mountain Boy

I love bloggers who aren’t part of a niche (I have one of those blogs myself).  You really get a good glimpse into their lives and who they really are.  Ruminations of a Small Town Mountain Boy is one of those general blogs that once you read one post you are hooked. You’re not going to read about acne treatments or anything like that here. Instead, you find a greathodge podge of information regarding blogs the author likes to why he misses the mountains.  I love that his sister even pokes fun at him in some of the comments.  I absolutely love this them.  It looks like a blue jean pocket and leg.  It is the most unique thing I think I have ever seen on a blog.  Definitely check this out if you are looking for a great read!

SEO Help Forums

As bloggers, a lot of us are not skilled in the right and wrongs of SEO (search engine optimization). This is important, because you want your blog to rank high in the search engines for the keywords you decide. This is a way to drive more traffic to your blog. SEO Help Forums is a great place to check out for all your SEO questions. The forums cover a variety of topics including search engine optimization, site design, usability, and all sorts of technical stuff. You can even put your site up for the members to review and give you advice on what you should change (and what’s good too). You should make sure that you check out the SEO Help Forums for all your SEO needs and questions.

Mirage Limos

When I went to San Diego for the Sony Mommy Bloggers Event, I learned that I really like being driven around in a limo to my destinations. It was super cool that they guy who picked me up was also standing there with my name on a sign. It makes you feel super important (whether you really are or not). However, it made me realize that we should have gotten a Limo In Arizona while we were there in February. I wish we would have checked out www.miragelimo.com and their Phoenix Limousine Service. We flew into Phoenix, and their limos go all across Arizona. After being on a plane for 6 hours (that’s including layover time in GA), we were in no mood to drive 2 hours to Sedona. It also was raining when we got there, and we both were exhausted. Since it was just a getaway for us, I wish we would have looked into getting limo and take the stress off ourselves (which was the whole point of the vacation). They have a ton of vehicles to choose from for whatever size your party is. If you are in the Arizona area and have some transportation needs, definitely check Mirage Limos out.

Bluehost

I decided to use Bluehost for my hosting last January because of the many great reviews from other bloggers I know. They have not disappointed me. They have this cool live chat feature that you can use to contact them 24/7. I have used this several times and walked away happy. I never once have felt that I was being read a script (though I probably was). Tonight, my site was a white screen. All of us know how that strikes terror into our hearts. I had heard wonderful things about their phone support, so I decided to call. It was about 7 PM CST, so it was definitely off hours. The first thing that impressed me was that the phone system immediately told me what number in line I was. Granted, I was number twenty, but at least I knew where I stood. While I was holding, the system would interrupt the music to tell me that number 19, 18, and so forth to talk to a customer representative that was based in the United States. Now, I don’t want to sound mean, but I hate talking to customer service people who don’t have a good command of the English language. It just annoys me. I also hate being talked to off a script. Most of the foreign customer service people do that. It is like nails down a chalkboard for me. I like only have to explain my problem once and have the person understand me. When I got my customer service representative, he spoke perfect English and had my site back up in less than 5 minutes. I forgot to even ask why it was down, because he asked me about my toilet paper post and we started talking about that. My hosting is up for renewal in January, and I know I am sticking with Bluehost. I have always been impressed by their customer service, and I am even more so now. (I have an affiliate badge in my sidebar if you want more information about their hosting packages).

(Now you don’t need to be worried about hosting expenses because there are cheap web hosting services along with cheapest domain name registration facilities. You can also get windows hosting facility over Internet. Modern email marketing and the affiliate resources are a big source for improving your website ranking and traffic flow. Several wireless internet service providers also for securing data are offering special backup software to customers.)

What not to do

I was just at Courtney Tuttle’s blog, and I know that bloggers are always looking for a sense of direction. Well, this post has everything (except for ads blocking all the content above the fold and a google adsense ad slapped somewhere in the post) that you should NOT do. You deserve a reward if you can even get through This Worst Post In The Universe. When you ask others for a blog review, take note of several of the points that are made here. Enjoy and happy reading!
