Did you know that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes redesigned their packaging?  I love it!  You now have a container that you can proudly leave on your counter.  The packaging comes in eight different designs.  However, I have to admit that what excited me most about these changes is the single sheet dispensing system.  With the old design, I could never just get one sheet.  Now, you just open, pull, wipe, and you are done. Now, the wipes still work the same and are just as effective which is great when you have kids.  We recently got to use them in Will’s room.  In case you don’t know, Will is 21 months old.  He went down for a nap and woke up several hours later.  What we didn’t know is that he had taken his diaper off.  No, his room wasn’t covered in pee.  Actually, it was much much worse.  Yes, he had pooped.  It was all over his sheets, him, and his crib.  I handed Will off to my husband and got to work cleaning up his crib.  Now, soap and water really wasn’t going to do the trick for me.  Instead, I was able to use these wipes since they kill 99.9% of germs.  Clean up couldn’t have been easier. The Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System is a great product to have in your house.  How many times have you went to the bathroom in the middle of the night and stubbed your toe?  How many times have you blinded yourself by turning on the bathroom light?  Well, you won’t have that problem anymore.  The Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System comes with a light zone activator mat and 1 wireless illuminator light.  Once you step on the mat, it lights up all the illuminator lights (you can buy extra ones).  To turn it off, you just step on the mat again.

Even though there are several adult uses, this is great if you have kids too.  Madison can get out of bed and have a lighted path to the bathroom.  She doesn’t fully have to wake herself up anymore.  Another great use is that we know when she is up (as long as she steps on the map).  We can keep the illuminator light by us and see when she got up.  We are actually planning on packing this up and bringing it to Green Bay with us when we go to visit my parents.  My parents house isn’t as familiar to Madison as ours, so this will help tremendously for her late night bathroom trips.  This also works great to check up on Will (my 18 month old) at night without having to turn the light on.

The great thing about the Step ‘n Shine Wireless Night Lighting System is that there are no wires, no cords, and no clapping!  You don’t get an easier system to use than this either.  If you have anyone up at night in your house, you should definitely look at getting one of these.

I am quite use to living with hard water.  When I lived in Wisconsin and when we lived in Aurora, we had hard water.  Hard water is tough on a lot of things.  However, one of the places you can really see it is in your bathroom.  You will often find you have what looks like soap scum that you just can’t remove.  That is where CLR Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaner comes into play.  When we lived in Aurora, we used this cleaner every time we cleaned the tub.  It was the only thing that take the “scum” we had off.  I can only highly recommend it.  Now that we live in a suburb of Chicago, we don’t have that problem quite as much.  However, over the last couple of months, I have noticed that something is definitely going with our water.  When you get water out of the tap, it is very cloudy (not sure what is causing that).  I have also noticed that we are starting to get that “soap scum” again.  I decided to pull out our go to fix:  CLR Bathroom and Kitchen Cleaner.  Guess what?  It got rid of the mess in the tub yet again.  I love this product, and I can only give it high reviews.  Best of all, CLR has earned the EPA’s Designed for the Environment designation, so you know that it contains no phosphates, ammonia or bleach.

Ever hear of Olive Sandwiches? If not, you are missing some of the funniest things out there. They offer a broad line of retro-humor products for women of all ages. Seriously, there is something for everyone, and you don’t have to have a weird sense of humor like me to enjoy it (or even to find it funny).  I recently tried out two of their products (actually, at the same time too!).  First, I tried out the bath salts.  They smell good.  I also locked myself in the bathroom, so I could truly enjoy them and give an unbiased review (now, the hubby didn’t believe that, but I still locked myself in there).  You know you have a great bath salt when it makes you laugh at the packaging.  I included the image that I thought extremely funny.  For my bath, I tried out the brown sugar fig and truly enjoyed it.  While I was enjoying my bath without interruption, I also tried out some of Olive Sandwiches Chocolates.  These too have funny sayings on them like I taught Santa Everything He Knows and Visions of Sugar Daddies Danced In Her Head.  These organic chocolate bars taste awesome.  Now, you don’t have to eat them while you are in the tub like I did, but I got to enjoy some alone time with chocolate, relaxation, and humor.  Thank you Olive Sandwiches!

I know this book isn’t 100% family friendly.  However, if you don’t find yourself laughing after reading WTF?: How to Survive 101 of Life’s Worst F*#!-ing Situations, there is something definitely wrong.  This book is about crazy (and some not so crazy situations) you can get yourself into and what their solutions would be.  Now, some of these solutions are inventively therapeutic, sometimes offensive, most of the time not illegal, and usually very funny.  I use WTF quite often (not on here, of course), so I knew I’d like this book right off the bat.  For example, their solution for being in a bathroom without toilet paper range from:

• stare at the holder,
• use a substitute
• shower
• use the sink
• call someone

Now, these suggestions are for a public restroom too!  Each suggestion has about a paragraph telling you how to do the suggestion.  There are so many situations that they address in there.  Some you will encounter at some point in your life and some that you most likely won’t.  However, if you do, you’ll have the solution in this book.  WTF?: How to Survive 101 of Life’s Worst F*#!-ing Situations is seriously hilarious and should be found in quite a few stockings this Christmas.
