Sometimes you come across a product that you know another mother had to have designed. The Bathtub Assistant is one of these products. Designed by a mother whose son hit the faucet in the tub when he slipped out of her hands (and ended up with a black eye), it allows you to support yourself without having to lean against the tub.
First, the thing I love the most about this product is that it keeps mommy dry. Nothing is more frustrating to me than having to change my clothes after giving my kids a bath because I leaned up against the side of the tub that happened to be all wet (and this ends up happening more times than not). Instead, you are leaning against a cushion that is actually quite comfortable. Second, I was able to put this together all by myself with a little help from the directions. I personally hate products that require me to be brain surgeon to figure out. These aren’t those type of directions. Third, it is adustable for short people like me! I was able to use it and so was my husband (who is a foot taller than me!) Lastly, The Bathtub Assistant fold up, so when not in use, it doesn’t take up much space at all. Also, it makes it super easy to travel with too!
If you are looking for a prodcut to make your life easier if you have little ones, then this is it. It also would make a great baby shower gift or baby gift for the new moms in your life!

I swear my husband has the most disgusting vehicle ever. I have often talked about what crappy gas mileage we get with the Jeep, but I have never talked about how gross and filthy it gets. It is nasty. Bill works a lot of time on job sites. Now, this can mean everything from buildings already done to those that are just breaking ground. He also carries a lot of tools and supplies for the guys in there. Needless to say, his Jeep has a layer of dirt in there that I didn’t think was possible to clean off.
Turtle Wax ICE™ Total Interior Care came to the rescue. I know when I think of Turtle Wax, I always think of the great job they do on the outside of our vehicles. However, they do as great of a job on the inside too. You know that layer of muck I was just talking about — gone. It didn’t take much elbow grease either! Our 5 year old Jeep looks almost brand new on the inside with its cleanliness. I am impressed and I don’t mind sitting in the Jeep now.
It doesn’t get easier than this to use either:
· It is best to apply wax on surfaces between 55 and 85 degrees
· Apply the wax to soft, cotton, damp cloth and apply to the surface to be protected. Use a separate cloth to remove the wax
· Wax should be reapplied when water beading diminishes
The other cool thing with the Turtle Wax ICE™ Total Interior Care is that it has so many uses besides your car. First, try this on your patio furniture. It’ll keep the dust, dirt, and grime off it, and keep it looking like you just bought it. My favorite — use it in the bathroom. You can say goodbye to soap scum. In the kitchen, you can use it to remove stains from appliances and other kitchen surfaces (like my old crappy countertops). It will also clean stains on carpets and leather furniture!
There are so many uses for Turtle Wax ICE™ Total Interior Care that it is definitely worth every cent you pay for it. You’ll be finding yourself running out to get more quite quickly when you see how good it works.

Five Rubber Duckies is a book in my house that gets read often. It is just as popular with Will (my one year old) as with Madison (my 4 year old). Will enjoys the books for several reasons. First, he likes the duckies. The pages aren’t like normal book pages; they are half pages with ducks on top. The pages are thick cardboard, so even if he chews on them (and he has), they will not get wrecked. He also can’t rip them. Madison likes this book because we can work on her math skills. As you turn each page, there are two lines which rhyme. It is a story about duckies, and as you turn the page, we lose a ducky (have no fear — they don’t need foreclosure help, they are just busy doing other things). It is a cute story and ends with 1 rubber ducky being left with a clean baby. My kids completely adore this book and I highly recommend it!

If I would let Madison write my blog, this would top her list of favorite things for all time. If you liked Lego Star Wars, then you will love Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. How does the Lego version differ from the regular Star Wars games? Well, they are rated E (for Everyone). They are also easier for kids to play. Also, you have unlimited lives. If your character dies, it just starts back up again. There is some humorous scenes like when you walk in on the Storm Troopers taking a bath (they have swim trucks on!) and you get to see the innerworkings of the Death Star with all its bulk cable and metal and stuff (you have to blow it up too). Bill even loves this new games. There are so many new levels and tricks you have to learn to get through it! Madison is only 4, and she can beat most adults at this game (she’ll also tell you exactly how to play it). Granted, it isn’t the most educational thing for kids. However, it makes a great reward. It keeps their attention (both kids and adults). It isn’t too hard for either age group either. It is pretty easy to figure out and is very entertaining. This is a must have for any Star Wars fan!

The Play-Doh Creativity Center is a winner in both parents and kids eyes. If you find you have play-doh and play-doh accessories all over your house, you need one of these! Not only does it have a table for your little one to play on, all of the play-doh and accessories go inside. I know it has been a lifesaver in my house. Now, Madison and I both know where all of her play-doh stuff is. There is enough space inside that you can put other play-doh accessories and play-doh in there. We have several different sets in ours. On the table (which is the cover) there are also spots (or molds) that allow the kids to make all sorts of different shapes like strawberries and such. You can also buy the plastic that goes on top and gives the kids a theme to build play-doh things with. I think it comes with one that looks like four plates, so the kids can make play-doh food to put on the plates. I can’t tell you how many hours Madison has played with this. It is worth every penny. You can’t get it at places like directbuy, but it should be pretty easy to find at Kmart, Target, etc.
