Super Fly Guy

Super Fly Guy is a fun book all kids should have. It has the some of cutest illustrations as you can tell from the cover of the book. Madison likes it and giggles every time we read it. The story is about a fly called Fly Guy and a little boy called Buzz. Buzz takes Fly Guy to school and you get to read all about it. Fly Guy doesn’t land on the teak furniture. Instead, he lands in the lunch room which leads to all sorts of chaos. If you want to find out what happens from here, you’ll have to read the book.

Huggies CleanTeam Products

The first product of the Huggies Clean Team products that we recently tried are the moist wipes. Madison isn’t too sure about them yet. However, mommy does like them. They are soft and have a great smell to them. I love that they are flushable. I can definitely seeing this being a product used often in our house.

Another Clean Team product that I am absolutely loving is the foaming hand soap.  I like the foaming, because Madison likes it.  It helps her to wash her hands, because she thinks its more fun.  It is also scented.  I am not sure what the scent is, but it definitely smells good.  I wouldn’t mind washing my hands a few times more using this.  The top of the bottle is a hippo, so Madison giggles when she sees it.  I loving that you can lock it, so your kids won’t use the whole bottle up in one day.

The last Clean Team product that we tried was the extra conditioning shampoo.  Again, this product smells awesome.  The shape of the bottle is a little different, but it actually makes it much easier to grip especially when it is wet.  This is a no tear shampoo, and Madison enjoyed using it.

The next time you are in need of cleaning products for your kids you should definitely check out the Huggies Clean Team products.  They are working great in my family.

Frosted Flakes Gold

Frosted Flakes Gold is a new cereal we tried at my house over the last week or so. Instead of the flakes being covered in sugar (and who needs more sugar in their lives), the flakes are covered in honey and made from whole grains.  I’ll be honest though — unless you are real honey lover, you probably are not going to like these. That being said, my daughter loves these. Not only has she been eating a bowl of this every morning (by her request), she also requests these as a snack almost daily! This has been an instant hit in my house! I have never had Madison devour a box of cereal so quickly. If you have kids in your house, this is a must get cereal for you!

Parents Kitty Keyboard

If you need a keyboard for you kids to play with, this is definitely right up your alley. Last Christmas, my mom was trying to find a keyboard that wasn’t too old for her (which most on the market are). She found this one at Target. As you can tell from the picture, it is super cute. It is also age appropriate. Madison isn’t ready for things like gold chains or dress up clothes (well, she doesn’t have much interest in the later).  The cool thing is that Will likes to play with this and I have even caught my husband messing with it.

There are 20 songs that you can play along to, 4 instrumental sounds, and even Meow! sounds!  It also has a record feature, so they can record their own compositions.  They are able to control the beat, volume, and tempo of the music quite easily too.  It has an auto-off function.  The keyboard starts purring when it is about to shut itself off.   There are sing alongs and 7 cat songs.

All in all, this keyboard is a cute and a great buy.  Your kids will get a ton of playing time with it.  (It is also extremely hardy since Will pulls it off the couch all the time and I have caught Madison standing on it, and it still works!)

28 Weeks Later

Bill and I caught 28 Weeks Later last night. This is definitely not a movie to watch when your kids are up. I have to admit that this was one of the better horror flicks I have ever seen. Being a horror flick, you do have to give up some of the logic of the real world. This is the sequel to the movie 28 Days. The plot is pretty limited, but the gore is definitely intense. The basic plotline is that zombies (which are humans infected with a virus that makes them go insane and violent and want to eat other humans’ flesh) are basically going around infecting everyone. You know how you sometimes see people go a little crazy when they are in drug rehabilitation and their bodies are going through withdrawal? This is ten times worse. The story is about the children of a couple who are trying to get out of the infected zone before the military kills them (the military is trying to stop the spread of the disease by methods of extermination). It is a gory movie. All in all, even though the plot is very thin (but aren’t most horror films?), it is a great movie. The ending sucked though. If you have seen this, let me know, because Bill and I disagree on the significance of the ending. Without stating too much and giving it away, I think they ended it the way they did, so they can have another sequel. However, I personally like my story to have an happily ever after ending whenever possible, and you really don’t know if that’s what happened here.

3 Minute Pooh Stories

pooh stories3 Minute Pooh Stories is a wonderful book for children and adults alike. There are 25 stories that take about 3 minutes to read each. Your kids are able to prop themselves up with a sleep wedge for a great nighttime story. All the stories are about Pooh and his exciting adventures with his friends.  Each page is illustrated, and your kids can make up their own stories with the pictures.  Since the stories only take about three minutes, this is great for kids with short attention spans (like mine).  This is one of those books that can take a long time to read (since there is so many stories), but it allows your children something to look forward to each night.  The stories are entertaining for babies and toddlers alike, so this is a definite good buy.

Bee Movie

I’ll be honest. I did not want to watch the Bee Movie. I cannot stand Jerry Seinfeld, and since his voice is the lead character here, I was a bit leary. However, this turned out to be a really cute movie. It isn’t about how honey works better than some of the best anti wrinkle cream. Instead, it is about the life of a bee. Barry (Jerry Seinfeld) becomes disillusioned about having to pick a job for the rest of his short life. He goes out of the hive with the pollen collectors to see what is out there and finds out that us humans have been stealing bee honey. To fix this injustice, he sues the human race. I don’t want to give away too much information, but it is a seriously cute movie. There were a lot of jokes that I thought were funny that went right over Madison’s head. However, she too enjoyed the movie. The moral of this movie is that one bee (or human) can make a difference, and that is a great lesson.
