Do you like the creepy crawlies? I don’t, so really don’t know why I watch the Verminators on the Discovery Channel. However, even though I cringe the entire time I am watching this, I am addicted. Basically, the people from Isotech go around and take care of pests for people. You would cringe too if you could see some of the houses they go into. The worst had to be the one that had roaches running in the crib. Some of these are so bad that I don’t think an IQAir purifier would save them. Another interesting episode involves them moving a stove, and you can see about an inch and half of cockroaches. I am getting the creepy crawlier just thinking about it. Even though it grosses me out, I love this show, and you should go check it out!

I have always loved this show, and this season has not disappointed me yet. I thought I was going to miss Sara since she left the show. However, the expert writing has easily made her disappear from our minds. Each week I am anticipating the story. I am glad they got away from the more personal stuff and is sticking more to the story of the crime (though I did love the miniature killer). I almost had to turn it off 2 weeks ago when they did the story on the 3 year old (I won’t give it away in case you haven’t seen it). You know it good when it hits that close to home. I love all the interesting stuff they can do like taking finger prints from a faucet or figuring out the trajectory of the bullet that killed somebody. The show made being a CSI look glamorous. If you need an awesome show to watch on Thursday nights (or you can catch the reruns on Spike all week long), make sure you tune into CSI!

Dirt is a show on FX. It is all about the world of celebrity and tabloids. You get to see how they work together behind the scenes to get their pictures jumping on trampolines so stars can get some good press. I often wonder if Britney Spears watches it, since some of her life definitely mirrors the show. The first season was awesome. It was one of my favorite shows. However, this second season, I am not sure what is missing. It just doesn’t the same allure it had before. Instead of being awesome and great, it is just okay. The stories being told aren’t drawing me in like they did last season. I have watched two full episodes this season and am currently watching the third, and it just isn’t doing it for me. This could be due to the writers strike. I am not sure. All I know is that I want my Dirt from last season back!

This was an awesome show we caught tonight on The History Channel. The city they featured tonight was Chicago. Some of the things they went over we already knew (like they split the first atom under a football field here). However, we learned about an underground railroad that use to deliver goods to the department stores in the 20’s. They even showed us how that tunnel was built (I hope those workers had a Scranton personal injury lawyer on retainer since the working conditions were not great). Now, since I am not from here originally, it makes sense I did not know a lot of things they showed us. However, Bill has lived here all his life, and he learned a ton of new information too! We are Discovery Channel freaks, but I think we have found another channel we are going to start watching regularly.
They check out different cities each week that have a world underneath the streets. I highly recommend setting up your Tivo to tape!

How Its Made is a show on the Discovery Channel and The Science Channel. It is show that all ages can watch and they show you how things are made. You can see everything from cheap glasses to candy canes. I have to admit that the candy cane show was one of the coolest. They didn’t make it they way I though they would. It starts off as huge chunks (like 100 lb. chunks of candy). I find it interesting to learn how everyday items (and some not so everyday items) are made. Madison even enjoys this show!

This is a show that I finally caught on HBO this week. If you haven’t watched this yet, you don’t know what you are missing. This show is about a psychologist who plenty of his own problems. It is on every night. The episode is either about his clients like Laura (who is in love with him — however, he has fallen in love with her too!) or him and his wife in therapy. She cheated on him, and now with his new love interest, they are trying to work on their marriage. The plot of this show is so layered. It is awesome. After watching one episode, you are hooked. I can’t wait to see if they stay together or if he tells his patient that he too loves her. If you are looking for a must see show, this is it!

If you want a television network that is kid friendly, this is the one you need. I love it. There isn’t a show on here that my kids can’t watch. I don’t have to worry about language or violence or anything like that. The great thing about Noggin is that you can go to their website and read about each of the shows is teaching your children. Noggin plays shows like Franklin, Wow Wow Wubzy, Dora The Explorer, and Wonder Pets just to name a few. My only complaint is that it quits showing shows at 5. Then it goes into its teen shows.
If you are deciding on which networks you must have and you have kids, Noggin should be at the top of your list.
