Maybe I’ll Sleep in the Bathtub Tonight and Other Funny Bedtime Poems

When you say the title of this book (Maybe I’ll Sleep in the Bathtub Tonight and Other Funny Bedtime Poems) to Madison, she giggles. The title of the book alone makes kids want to read this book (which is definitely a good thing!).  Maybe I’ll Sleep in the Bathtub Tonight and Other Funny Bedtime Poems is a book of poems about going to bed.  If you have a struggle at bedtime, this is a book you should pull out.  A family favorite here is “More Night Clothes” – a silly poem about sleepwalking.  This book is also illustrated wonderfully and pull the kids into the book.  Each page has one or two poems on it, so it is really full.  I do have to admit this is for an older child (I’d say 6 and up).  My two year old wasn’t all that interested while Madison found a lot of the poems really funny.

If bedtime is a chore in your house, Maybe Ill Sleep in the Bathtub Tonight and Other Funny Bedtime Poems is a book you need to get.

Potty Animals: What To Know When You’ve Gotta Go!

We like potty books at our house.  With trying to potty train Will, we definitely will take any help we can get.  The great thing about Potty Animals:  What To Know When You’ve Gotta Go! is that even potty trained kids get a kick out of this book.  The pictures are very bright and pull you into the story.  This story is all about going to the bathroom.  We learn about Wilbur who doesn’t wash his hands, Wilma who waits too long to go, Arnold who needs to aim better, and Freddie who needs to remember to flush.  Whatever potty training issues you are having in your house, this book covers it in a fun way.

If you a potty training at your house, Potty Animals is a must have book!

eebee’s Mix & Mash

From the time our kids are little, they are wanting to be in the kitchen with us.  eebee’s Mix & Mash is a great book for you for great adventures in your kitchen.  It is a board book, so even the littlest ones can’t wreck it (It’s for kids  months and up).  Will likes to go through this book and point out all the babies to us.  The other cool part is that eebee’s Mix & Mash is actually a baby food cookbook.  It has 12 recipes in there for you to make for your kids that they will love.  Every recipe is easy enough that your little one can actually help you make it.  There is everything from tof-ee finger food to blueb-eebee soup in here.

eebee’s Mix & Mash is a great book for both little ones and adults too!

Rainbow Brite

If you are a girl (and around my age), Rainbow Brite is definitely a character that you remember from your childhood.  I recently learned that there is an entire site devoted to Rainbow Bright and the gang.  It was awesome to introduce my 6 year old to Rainbow Brite and watch her have a ton of fun with it.  Not only does the site have 4 animated episodes on it, there are games, puzzles, coloring pages, etc on it.  You kids can easily get lost for hour in it!  (I know Madison was!).  Even more exciting than the new site is that the newest Rainbow Brite fashion doll collection is now available at Target stores and should be arriving to Toys R Us this month!

Rainbow Brite is a character that you don’t have to worry about your children watching.  She is wholesome, beautiful, and the stories are great for little girls to watch.  I highly recommend checking her out and even picking up a doll (I’m checking right now to see if my local Target has them!).

Fandangling Review and Giveaway!

I have to apologize for the not so great picture of a great product that I can’t say enough about. (I tried taking it with the light on and it was way worse).  See those butterflies hanging off Madison’s fan?  Those are Fandanglings, and they are awesome!

The inventor of Fandangling says it best:

I invented Fandangling quite by accident. It all started with our daughter Lia. When she was born we were seeking ways to keep her happy and interested in her room. When I put the first Fandangling on the fan in her room, her eyes lit up and the rest, as they say, is history.

Now, my kids (2 and 6) have always been a fan of fans, so I knew this would be a big hit in my house. It took Bill (my husband) less than 5 minutes to put it up, and that was with help from the kids.  My two year old and six year old love to watch the butterflies go round and round and round.  This is one of those “why didn’t I think of that” products.  I can say that my kids would have loved this as babies too.  They both have always been in love with fans.  When Madison was a baby, we had a mobile we had to constant wind up.  Can I tell you how much of a pain that was?  Seriously.  The mobile we bought for Will costed twice as much as a Fandangling and used a ton of batteries.  I really wish this would have been around, because I would have bought several of these!  My only complaint is that I wish they had more boyish designs like cars, tools, trucks, etc.

Since this is such a great product, I knew I had to pass one of these along to my great readers!  Here’s what you need to do:
