Rainbow Brite

If you are a girl (and around my age), Rainbow Brite is definitely a character that you remember from your childhood.  I recently learned that there is an entire site devoted to Rainbow Bright and the gang.  It was awesome to introduce my 6 year old to Rainbow Brite and watch her have a ton of fun with it.  Not only does the site have 4 animated episodes on it, there are games, puzzles, coloring pages, etc on it.  You kids can easily get lost for hour in it!  (I know Madison was!).  Even more exciting than the new site is that the newest Rainbow Brite fashion doll collection is now available at Target stores and should be arriving to Toys R Us this month!

Rainbow Brite is a character that you don’t have to worry about your children watching.  She is wholesome, beautiful, and the stories are great for little girls to watch.  I highly recommend checking her out and even picking up a doll (I’m checking right now to see if my local Target has them!).

Jomashop Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is now over. Susan C is the winner. Congrats!

coach walletI am a sucker for a good deal. I will always admit that, and if you add in free shipping, I’m usually sold! That is why I love find shops like Jomashop which fulfills all of my money saving needs. Jomashop is an online store that is a huge discounter of fashion/luxury watches, handbags, accessories, and sunglasses. There is pretty much something for everyone there. Seriously.  They have been in business more than 20 years (so you don’t have to worry about them being here today and gone tomorrow) and has one of Yahoo’s highest online retailer ratings (which you definitely have to earn).  They also always have free shipping on orders of $150 or more! The site is super easy to navigate and is even easier to find great deals!

Now, because I know you all love a great deal as much as I do, I have arranged for one lucky winner to win this Coach Wallet that you see in the post here.  It is made out of white leather and has tan stitching, brown leather accents, and antiqued gold-tone hardware.  This wallet is a perfect example of the deals you can find on Jomashop.  The retail price of this awesome Coach Wallet is $208, but on the Jomashop site you can get it for $135!  That’s a savings of 35%!  (If you don’t want to wait to see if you win and want to start shopping now, you can get $10 off of any $50 or more handbag/wallet purchase for the month of August with the coupon code of COACH. The Nurse’s Guide to Good Living

If you are a nurse, the Scrubs magazine online is a must read. There is a ton of great information on this site for nurses (and to be honest, I found a lot of great information for me too and I’m not a nurse).  You can read about summer fashion (both in and out of the doctor’s office), makeup, beauty, and how to look younger (I love the advice about not wanting to look like a billy goat myself). There is even some great tips if you are an evening nurse!  It’s not all about work either here.  There are a lot of great articles about money, news, entertainment, etc.  There is truly something for everyone here.  You can vote up your favorite articles too and take polls on what you opinion is on different issues too.  I also enjoyed the Privacy Do and Dont’s.  Having working in a doctor’s office in the past, we often times need to be reminded what we should and shouldn’t say about our patients.

If you are a nurse, I check out Scrubs and let me know what you think.  There is a ton of information for every facet of your life here, and I think that most nurses would enjoy it.

Making Life Better

How would you like to make your life better?  How would you like to feel good, look good, and get more out of your life?  If that sounds like something you’d like to do, you definitely need to check out the Making Life Better website.  There are a ton of recipes, tips, and advice on there to help you make changes in your life.  I like the recipes on budget series, since most of us are looking to save money where we can in this economy.  There’s a lot of great articles ranging from how to bond better with your family, what to get for Father’s Day, and how to get ready for summer.  Definitely things we all can relate too and can use in our busy lives.  I really liked the 10 everyday beauty tips that are things that you can do quickly and easily at home.  There’s no going out and having to buy expensive treatments.  Instead, they listed things like using a light wash of color will make you look fresh-faced all day — use your fingers to swirl creamy blush directly on the apples of your cheeks.

If you’d like to make good changes for you and your family, check out Making Life Better.  (plus they have some great coupons and contests and who can’t use those?)
