If you are in the market for a reasonably priced point and shoot camera, the Samsung SL420 is the camera you need. The camera is very easy to use and takes excellent photos. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to get great quality photos. You can even fix your photos before you download them off the camera! Your pictures are great due to the 10.2 MP and the powerful optical zoom. The Perfect Portrait System includes a beauty shot which automatically retouches facial imperfections and the Smart Auto feature. You can choose what mode you want to take pictures, or you can let the camera choose the best mode for you! It is super easy to figure out this camera too. The definitely made it very easy to use and figure out the menus.
There were only a few things that I did not care for (disclosure: I have a touch screen point and shoot which costed twice as much as this camera). First, I wish it came with a book. That is a problem that I actually see with most cameras. My parents have dial up, so looking up a manual online is a no can do. For me, I have very little cupboard space, so I like only having to charge the battery. This camera requires the whole thing being plugged into the wall. I do like touch screen better personally, but the menus for this camera were extremely easy to navigate. My only other complaint is that without a memory card, I was only able to take 2 pictures. If you get this camera, make sure you buy a memory card with it!
Overall, I would recommend this camera. For this price point, it is an excellent camera. It does what it is suppose to do and does it quite easily.

If you didn’t buy your sweetie a Sony Mylo for Christmas, then this is a must have for Valentine’s Day. I absolutely love mine. As many of you know, I will be attending a ton of conferences this year. I do have a laptop, but even with the laptop bag, it gets incredibly heavy. I hate always having to bring it with, since I need to get on the internet far less time than I spend lugging it around. However, the Sony Mylo solves this problem for me. I have all the features of my laptop in this. I love it!
What can you do with a Sony Mylo? Tons! My family and I (I think) have used almost every feature on here. Now, Madison (my five year old) can even figure this out, so it is quite user friendly. Unlike your cell phone, where you may have limited web browsing, the Mylo allows you to be able to use sites like YouTube, Facebook, and you can even play Flash games! You can instant message pretty much anyone too. It is compatible with AOL®, Yahoo!®, Google™ and Skype®. The Sony Mylo also comes with cool little widgets. These little gadgets allow you to do google searches and even include a Facebook notifier. The Mylo even has a 1.3 megapixel camera. You are able to take pictures, edit them right on the Mylo, and post them directly to your blog! You can also listen to MP3, ATRAC, WMA (Secured and Un-Secured) and now AAC codecs. You can even play your music while you surf the web or are IMing people. It also have a video player that allows you to watch MPEG4s along with the improved video quality of MPEG4 AVC.
I can’t wait to attend my next conference with my Sony Mylo in purse. It will be so much nicer than having to lug my big huge laptop around!

If you are a little geeky or even a lot geeky, you will like these next two products a lot. I know I have enjoyed using them.
The Logio Secure Password Organizer is one of those products that makes your life ten times easier. We all know that we are suppose to use different passwords for each one of the sites, and we really should not make them too personal, so people cannot guess them. However, if you do that, how do you remember them then? I will admit that I don’t follow the rules just because I don’t remember my passwords otherwise. Heck, I don’t remember my passwords now, and I just use a variation of the same passwords on all the sites I am on. That is where the Logio Secure Password Organizer comes in handy. This is literally the size of a credit card. It can easily fit into your pocket or your wallet. It is very lightweight, yet it holds a huge punch. It can hold all of your passwords for you. All you need to do is remember one password to just get into it. The data is protected by a sophisticated AES encryption implementation. It hold over 200 records, and you will have no data loss if battery runs down. I love that it generates random passwords automatically for you too (so you can change those ones that are the same all over). There are just so many great features.
If you are a person who can’t ever remember your passwords, use stickies all over your computer screen to remember your passwords, or use the same password everywhere (guilty!), then you need to get your hands on one of these. The security knowing you’ll not get hacked is worth every cent.
Another great product has to be the OnBoard Travel Keyboard. This keyboard easily attaches to your laptop. It has all the keys a regular desktop keyboard has. I like it because I have rubbed off the letters on my laptop’s keyboard (yes, I use it that much). It even has separate numeric keys (just like your desktop’s keyboard!). It easily fits into your laptop bag (I tried it in several of ours, and it fit all of them). It even has an inflatable palm rest to help you stay ergonomically correct. It is also for use with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, and Mac OS X. The USB cord wraps around keyboard inside cover for convenient storage, and it has a protective sliding cover.
Atek has some other great products that you should definitely check out. However, these two products are winners for me.

Digital photo frames have to be one of hottest gifts this season. If you are wanting one this year, you should definitely check out GiiNii 7″ Digital Picture Frame. This frame is one of the easiest to use on the market. All you need to is plug it in, turn it on, and the frame instantly plays a vivid color slideshow of three pre-installed, high-resolution images. If you would like to view your own personal photos, simply insert a memory card. On-screen programming makes it easy to change settings. I love the wedge design of it also. Unlike other photo frames out there, you don’t havy to worry about this one tipping over and getting wrecked. It has a high resolution (800 x 480) for crisp, vivid images and a 512 MB memory for storage. It even plays movies and music! The GiiNii 7″ Digital Picture Frame comes with a mini USB port for connectivity to PCs and Macs too. You can even program it to show only a single picture and to having a slideshow with all your pictures.

Anyone who has any sort of computer needs to get one a SimpleTech Mini Drive. It is small, but it has a big punch. You can store up to 250 GB of data on this baby. Now, I have a lot of pictures and music (and trust me, it is more than I even thought!), and it is not taking up even half of the memory on this! There are several things I love about my SimpleTech Mini Drive. The first thing would have to be the size. It truly is small enough to fit in a pocket (not necessarily your jean pocket per say but a bit larger pocket). It is also made for my house, because it is durable. It has a velvety smooth texture to help you grip it, and it was made for travel. If you drop it, it is not end of the world (though I may have to ground you to your room for the rest of your life). It comes in different colors, so if they bubblegum color that I have is not your cup of tea you have several to choose from like Espresso, Marshmallow, Kiwi, and Cayenne. You also get a high speed USB 2.0 “Y” cable that provides power without extra cables (love, love, love that!). It even gives you backup software and you are able to use their Fabrik Ultimate Backup™ online service (2 GB free).
Want to know how easy this is to use? Just plug one of the Y cord to the mini drive and the other to your computer. That’s it! Bill and I will be spending this afternoon taking the rest of the music off our desktop and saving it to the minidrive. I then will be able to put all our MP3s on my laptop. We haven’t done it till now, because over our home network, it takes forever! I am super excited to be able to finally play music on my laptop!
Like I said, if you know anyone who has a computer, they need a SimpleTech Mini Drive. You never know when your hard drive will decide to crash and take all of your data with it.
