Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet

I hate flossing, so I just don’t do it. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way what happens when you don’t floss.  I recently went to the dentist and found out what happens when you don’t floss — you get cavities in between your teeth.  I also learned that I have gum inflammation and that the bottoms of my lower teeth aren’t getting brushed enough.  My dentist and discussed how I need to change my oral care, because what I am currently doing is obviously not working.

One of the changes I made is to use the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet.  This dental water jet actually will be solving most of the problems I am having.  Waterpik dental water jets are clinically proven to be up to 93% more effective at improving gum health.  It will allow me to remove bacteria between my teeth and below my gumline.  The water jets also reduce gingivitis and gum health.

I love how small this is.  It easily fits on my sink especially since all the tips are kept in a compartment on top of it.  The six tips are color coded, so you can easily figure out which one does what.  You’ve got two standard tips, a tongue cleaner, a pik pocket that rinses your gum pockets, an orthodontic tip to use if you have braces, and a toothbrush tip (my favorite).  I love that I can take care of my gums and my teeth without too much extra work.  On the handle, there is a pause button that allows you to easily stop and start and water coming into your mouth.  I’ll be honest, it takes a little practice to get use to using this.  However, if it’s going to save me pain and time at the dentist, it is worth it!

If you are looking to improve your dental health, I have to recommend the Waterpik Ultra Dental Water Jet.

Organic Baby Calming Bubble Wash Review and Giveaway!

bubbleIf you’ve read this blog for any amount of time, you know that I am allergic to life itself. I’ve posted about my various allergies to everything many times, so I am always on the lookout for products that won’t give me (or my kids) hives.  Organic Baby’s Calming Bubble Bath does the trick for me.

The Calming Bubble Bath has both aloe vera and shea butter to help keep your skin from getting too dry.  It’s also tearless, so no more tears if they somehow get this in their eyes (and somehow they kids always end up with getting things in their eyes in the tub).  The lavender and sweet orange should also calm your kids down (it never seems to work with mine though – lol).  I love what this bubble bath does not have — no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfates, no parabens, no DEA, no TEA, and no MEA, no petroleum/mineral oils/phthalates, no artificial colors, no artificial fragrances, and no nut oils, no gluten, no soy, and no dairy.  It is also certified organic too!

I’ve arranged for one of my lucky readers to try out this Calming Bubble Bath.  Here’s what you need to do:

Unilever Giveaway!

This giveaway is now over. The winner is missdenise. Congrats!

You may have noticed the Beauty Tip Of The Day widget on my sidebar. This is a great way to learn some new tricks to help you look younger and more beautiful. The tip changes daily, so you can definitely get some good advice. That being said, I know that everyone has their own secret beauty tips that they do. For me, I’d have to say my beauty tip is to add concealer under your eyes to help get rid of bags/shadows. It’ll make you look much more awake than you really are sometimes (and nobody needs to know you’ve been out all night!).

The sponsor of the widget is Unilever and I have worked with them, so one of my lucky readers will win their own box of Unilever products so you too can try out some of these beauty tips (MSRP $30. It will include include a product from Vaseline, Pond’s, Dove and Q-tips among other things). Here’s what you need to do:

To enter, tell me your favorite beauty tip!

Osmotic’s Best of Beauty Bag

If you want an awesome bag with a ton of great products, then Osmotic’s Best of Beauty Bag is just for you.  First, you get an awesome bag.  It is large enough to hold the products that come with it and all my makeup!  It’s trendy looking and nobody will know what’s really in there! The bag also comes with some of Osmotic’s best products out on the market. It contains their Hydrating Cleanser (0.5 oz.), Renovage™ Cellular Longevity Serum (0.5 oz.), Blue Copper 5 Firming Elasticity Repair (1 oz.), Blue Copper 5 Lip & Tuck (0.07 oz.), Anti-Radical Age Defense (1 oz.) and Age Prevention Protection Extreme SPF 40 (2.5 oz.).  I have to admit my two favorite products has to be the Hydrating Cleanser (which works great on my dry skin) and the Blue Copper 5 Lip & Tuck.  I have a bad habit of chewing on my lips when they are dry and the lip & tuck makes sure that doesn’t happen!

I’ve used quite a few of the Osmotic’s line, and they are a high quality product that I can highly recommend.  Osmotic’s is not carrying this awesome bag on their site.  However, some of the stores that carry it (Nordstrom, Dillards, Lord & Taylor) have made the product available online.  If interested, you can also order the product via telephone at 1-800-440-1411.

Dove Burst Body Wash

product_shot_whiteI recently tried the Dove Burst Body Wash, and I love it. It was the Nectarine & White Ginger scent, and I could seriously just sit here all day and smell the stuff. I love the scent. For Bill, it’s a tad too fruity (and for some reason, he doesn’t want to go to work smelling like fruit). However, I love it for me. It’s hard for us to find scented items that still allow him to breath (he is sensitive to things that have too much scent in them. He can’t breathe), and I can still use and have him around. However, we don’t have a problem with this. Now, if you don’t like to use body wash, they have a matching bar of soap too!  The scent is just as good in the bar of soap too.  I’ll be buying more of this.

I also found out that Dove has also partnered with The CW to create a video series called “GOSSIP GIRL: Real NYC Stories Revealed.” The video series will give viewers a glimpse into the real lives of four young women who lived in the same Manhattan hotbed as the Gossip Girl characters, while revealing real life stories about juggling careers, love, finances, family and friends. The upcoming “GOSSIP GIRL: Real NYC Stories Revealed” video series premiered on April 27th (8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT) during Gossip Girl on The CW.  You’ll love it if you are Gossip Girl fan!
