Potty Tots Potty Training Program Review and Giveaway

Will just turned two, so we have to start looking into potty training again. What we learned with Madison is that they don’t do it till they are darn good and ready.  However, as we did with her, we want to have all of the tools available to us when he is ready.  We’ve had his potty chair out for 6 months now.  At this point, he still thinks he’s suppose to stand in it.

That’s why I was excited to check the Potty Tots Training Program.  There are just so many things I like about this program.  This video explains the program:

This program comes with everything you need to help get potty training started in your home and has so many different ways for them to learn.  The kit you get consists of a story book, animated DVD with bonus music videos, illustrated potty chart and a “Toilet Bowl” game/progress chart with clings to keep track of success with potty training.  We’ve watched the video with Will and read the book several times.  He relates to the characters and does like them (we get a lot of “what’s that” questions).  On the video, they have their own little rock video about going potty (which is beyond cute).  This is definitely a great way to get your children interested in potty training, and I wish I knew about this when Madison was potty training.  You can also order a girl kit or a boy kit, and it truly does include almost everything you need for potty training!

   I learned that the American Academy of Pediatrics indicate that only after the ages of 18 months to 24 months do children begin to have the cognitive, emotional and physiological developmental skills to begin potty training!

    Any successful program must also have a way for the kids to keep track of their progress and positive reinforcement (praise and rewards). Fashioned after the Super Bowl, we created a “Toilet Bowl” football inspired progress chart/game with clings of the Potty Tots.
