Pet’s Eye View Camera Review and Giveaway!
This contest is now closed. The winners are Julie, Andreah, Corrin, 3Boyzmom, and Teresa. Congrats! I will be emailing them shortly!
Ever wonder what your cat or dog sees? If so, the Uncle Milton’s Pet Eye View Camera is exactly what you need. This is super easy to use — all you have to do is clip the digital camera to your pet’s collar. It is both compact and lightweight, so it should not bother them at all. There is a built-in timer (which you can set), so it automatically take photos for you. You then connect it to your computer, and you can see what your pet has been up to while you were gone (or even while you were home). The memory will store up to 40 photos at a 640 x 480 resolution. It is also PC and Mac compatible.
I know you have to be wondering how the pictures turned out. Since we only have fish here, I had my sister try it out on her cat. All I can say is that she loves it. Here are two the pictures that she got:

I have to admit that I was impressed by the quality. The first one is a tad blurry, but the second one turned out really well. Now, I know you are all wondering how to get one of these. I’ve worked it out to get not one, not two, but 5 of these Pet’s Eye View Cameras to giveaway! Here’s what you need to do:
Each of these gives you one entry:
1. Leave a comment on this post. Check out the Uncle Milton’s site and tell me why you’d love to have this for your pet. What do you think your pet is doing? What kind of pictures do you think you’ll get.
2. Twitter about this contest. Please leave me your username so I can verify. Or use something like this:

4. Add this post to other social media sites like Digg, Kirtsy, Blogging Zoom, Reddit, Propeller, Etc. (1 entry for each social network).
Each of these gives you 5 additional entries,
1. Blog about this on your blog. Please give me the URL, so I can verify.
2. Add this to any forums you belong too. Please give me the URL, so I can verify.
3. Subscribe to this blog using either my email or RSS feed

The same night we laid the sod, Dexter (our Marley) brought 3 big squares of sod through his doggy door and shook them until they were just single blades of grass and dirt EVERYWHERE! I swear it took me two weeks to clean it all up! That would have been great to capture and see how much fun he had!

Hi I wanted to add some information and also compete!
Dogs do see in color, but their perception of color is not the same as it is for people. They cannot distinguish between red, orange, yellow or green. They can see various shades of blue and can differentiate between closely related shades of gray that are not distinguishable to people.
When comparing dog and human vision, people are better at depth perception, color perception and seeing minute details of an object. Dogs are better at seeing in dim light, responding to an image rapidly and detecting the slightest motion. They also have better peripheral vision.
So I just wanted to add that the product could add a feature which enables to set all dogs differences in order to really get into our doggie´s world!
Cheers

Hi LIsa,
I LOVE this idea of a Pet’s Eye Camera. I checked out Uncle Milton’s site and I’d love to have one to have some fun w/my 5 pets! I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I’d love to see the cats because they are in their hut, tent, jumping on the bureau and playing hide and seek w/each other– very cute. One of my dogs goes crazy sometimes when she is outside and I”d love to see her view and she flys up and down the steps in the yard! Here is what I did:
subscribed for your blog, stumbled your post (mytangiblewealth), tweeted it (tangiblewealth) and am following you, bookmarked it at technorati (mytangiblewealth).

I had to laugh at the other poster aboves comment with the lazy cats and chaos because I’ve got a little rolly polly pug that seems to get into everything when she’s left to her own devices. Of course when we are at home she’s the perfect little angel and always gives us that innocent look when we know she’s been up to something. I’d love to see how long it actually takes her to get into something after we leave the house. This could turn into a pretty good bet with the hubby too.

I am entering this contest because I have miniature dachshunds, Reggie & Trallie. When I leave for work, I worry that they don’t have anything to look at so I put a chair near the window so they can look out. My neighbor complains because my dogs bark at her from the window when she gets to close to the house. So I moved the chair to another window and she still complains. I’d love to see what the dogs see and if they would catch her on their cam!

I hope I did this right- I’m new to this stuff.
We would love this cam for our dog Bailey. She will be just 3yrs old on Valentine’s Day and she is a handful. We had her DNA typed (what good pet parents!) and she is mostly Aussie Shepherd with Siberian Husky, Greyhound and Boston Terrier mixed in. I expound on this because we live in the mountains (lions and bears oh my) and she runs off all the time following her nose (Husky?). Even with her pet blinker on, we can never see her thru the trees. She comes back 20 minutes later panting like she just ran 50 miles- where was she and what was she doing???? We would love this cam to find out her “secret” hiding places.
Thanks for your consideration.

I would like to put this camera on my Australian Shepherd, Lucy. We recently found out she was escaping to another neighborhood by burrowing under our fence. Once she was out, she would do who knows what, but she would always come back. We were concerned for her safety, so we sealed her hole with concrete. But, I would still like to see what she sees and what she chases and barks at in our large fenced-in yard.

I have a night-prowler of a cat. He’s always bringing me presents – mice, snakes, rats, and lizards. I would love to know where he finds them.

Things fall off the shelves in the garage at night. I would like to see if it is the cats or is something else getting in the garage. Thanks for the contest.

My youngest dog is 2 and my other 2 are 11 and 13 so I would love to see if he is good with them when we leave because he is when we are here.

I have often wondered what they do when I am not around. Who broke what, who pee’d where ?
This would be awesome to have.

I would love to have this great prize for my cat because it sounds like a cool idea. I think she would be sleeping most of the time and I would get a lot of interesting pictures.

I am mom to 4 cats and it would be so neat to compare a day in each of their furry lives. I’d also love to know where one of them goes and hides. Neat!
Thanks for the chance!

I suspect that my cat is living a dual life as he often comes home smelling of perfume. Thanks for the fun.

How fun is this! I have a standard poodle that I would love to use this on. He delights me every day with his antics. I would love to see life from his point of view.
